The Higgs was a prediction of the Standard Model, long before String Theory was proposed. And string theorists are trying to prove it RIGHT while the rest of the field waits. They will be waiting forever bec the thing is wrong.

The virus is 100nm in diameter. Compare it to the visible spectrum and it's smaller than the shortest wavelength we can see on there by a factor of four. Yet, these guys down under believe they can detain the 'rona just like Australians can detain those who overwork their visa.

New Zealand is heading into Autumn soon, which will make this move look even more absurd as the cases begin to steadily rise. Oceania got lucky, which is good but when they confuse luck with skill, it's a problem for them and us fools who think we can copy them.

I have things to add, mainly about COVID, but drinking will produce a hiatus. Suffice to say that the WHO investigation in China is a complete joke.

Aussie land and New Zealand should be nuked but the trouble is hardly worth the small amount of reduction in the human population (the same could be said for Ireland). We should concentrate on Asia.

If you are sober right now that is just another of your vile mistakes and you should immediately make the proper adjustment(s).

I have posted this argument before, but nobody has answered it to my satisfaction. There is, presumably, a precise legal definition of free will. As in free of coercion and brainwashing, etc. Patty Hearst was not exercising her own free will, but the Manson family were. It has nothing to do with a mechanistic universe. Stop trying to fly without air resistance and making words mean what they don't.

By that short definition, there is no one with free will and there never has been.

You were brainwashed/influenced/whatever by your mere interactions with the world from the minute your mother dropped you from her crotch.

The nice thing is that you mostly won't mind and will, in most states of mind, not be able to distinguish between what you would want to do and what you do want to do.

Where better to look for what free will means than the Law? They probably have the most precise, rigorously argued and socially binding definitions.
