I do indulge in the proper dosage, if that captures your meaning.

That's good to hear.

My friend drives for a living. I wonder if I'd be happier if I did as apposed to being couped up in an office. The knowledge of a GPS tracker watching monitoring me would freak me out.

You do know that your employer knows where you are AND can track what you type, right? My employer doesn't even know I can type.

Most truckers don't last a year, so my enjoying it might be because I am a weirdo. Being an OTR driver, you have to really enjoy solitude. I do miss my friends, but it is a sort of pleasant-fondness-remembering sort of thing that doesn't feel negative. Haven't been home in three months, I think. Did talk to a person for 30 seconds today because I wasn't sure where the bathroom was and had to ask. Unless I can't find another bathroom, my next conversation will be Monday at the earliest.

Totally, and may have been projecting there. And now he/she knows I know they know. Which makes slightly weirder. But As a faceless, nameless person on a poker messaging that gives out no real personal information or breaks the rules of the forums, or is that interesting, it's okay. I'm more curious how you've assumed correctly I do indeed use a lappy I don't rightfully ...Doesn't matter.

I don't do social media either so I'm not as open as most people. Or perhaps I'm more open and honest behind a pseudonym. Not sure. Also, being conscious of it, doesn't seem to enforce a sort of conformity. We're all have the right to goofballs at the end of a work day. I've probably said sillier stuff on staff nights out.

That would be a full time job. Reading the logs of all employees. I guess a program is used to search the log files for certain words, such as 'beer.' And if so, this post will be reviewed for whatever reason.

Of course, this supposed problem could be solved by using my own laptop.

I guess you need to be introverted, or want to get away from the missus to take that job. And have access to decent escort websites in each place you visit. I imagine alcohol usage has diminished substantially.

Parallel to this are truckers who thinking they are being spied on by the dash cams. It simply isn't going to happen. For people to do something, they must have both willingness and ability. Just because they have the ability to spy doesn't mean they are willing to stare at fat truck drivers picking boogers.

My guess re: you was because everyone who has any sense at all plays on their work equipment.

If you kill someone whilst sleepwalking, you're legally innocent, right?

If not being culpable were sufficient to be found innocent in the real world, then yes.

Probably also depends on whether you took precautions though.

Precautions? Have you never had a dream in which you killed somebody?

REM sleep behavior disorder isn't the same as having a dream when you kill someone. Other parasomnias (like sleep walking) don't cause a person to behave violently as far as I am aware.

Generally, if you know you are dangerous, you are supposed to mitigate that risk. It would be difficult to have RBD and not know, since it isn't a one-time thing.

It probably depends on local laws though.

This sent me to google and it turns out that it's been used as a defense and at least one person a quick look showed me was acquitted.

I was at the supermarket looking for a can of rubies. I couldn't find any so I bought a can of clams instead. When I opened it at home there weren't any rubies in it. I should have got sardines.

For me, in the dreamworld I have the free will to raise my arm and aim at the person, but I don't have the free will to pull the trigger. I try my best but a force prevents me. I've had this a few times. And assumed, that no one can.
Sort of similar to how you always wake up before hitting the ground and never die.
