I’ve been writing a story and framing a world involving a dragon. High magic with some dystopia and civilization in struggle so far.

The benevolent intelligent dragon like found in some of the D&D lore. A counter-part to the wealth hoarding miser dragon aka Smaug.Dragons are fun. I live around a host of lizards, stories about them lowly-crawling things how fairly high, huh?

Here is a lizard story:

My Westie (pic unavailable due to those bastards at Photobucket) caught a huge lizard in the backyard and was holding it in his mouth. I yelled 'Andy, drop that lizard!' which, surprisingly he did. It fell onto it's back, legs splayed. Dead, right? So I get the broom and dust pan to dispose of the corpse only to find it gone. A bit of searching finds it nearby. I scoop it up, toss it over the backyard fence, it lands on it's back, legs splayed. Dead, right? Nope, I look 20 minutes or so later, lizard is gone, the crafty little thing.

I felt half bad for Andy bec catching ANYTHING is a highlight of his life but I can't have him tossing a lizard around in the house no matter how much he wants to.

You are a bad boy Howard! First, like people, dogs have and are bred to have a healthy instinct to kill. Second, as you noted, you made the dog jettison this healthy instinct because of some silly house rule about lizards in the home. He hadn't even got it into the house and yet you made him drop it. And you are right about stealing the highlight of your dog just doing his job and living his life - it is simply reprehensible behavior on your part.

The play dead on the lizard's part is an evolved survival mechanism and that you fell for it shows that your intellectual capacity has been compromised by overly moralist concerns induced by the relentless propaganda of, mainly, the leftist scum; that wish to rule every aspect of your life - such that it is. I am actually surprised you didn't know about the play dead thing, being in the Southwest. Many reptilian and other smaller animals and bugs are masters of it. People also do it; quite well sometimes. That's why you always plug a few more rounds into someone after they hit the ground and lie still. Advice you should remember.

We get scorpions from time to time. I got stung once and, being a New York Jew, thought that meant imminent death so I jumped into my car at 3 a.m. and was driving myself to the hospital at top speed when I realized that it wasn't so bad so I went to the poker room instead and won $800. But that's an aside:

One day I spotted a small creature and figured it was a scorpion and they being the one insect that I don't try to catch and release I tried to kill it but it was lightning quick. It dashed into my closet and I was hammering into the corner w/ a shoe when I realized that a scorpion couldn't possibly be that fast and I gave it up and went to bed. Next morning as I'm heading to the backyard for a smoke there is a gecko sitting right next to the sliding door. I say 'sorry, little guy', open the door, and it shoots right off.

Some of this stuff has got to be good for scale balancing upon my arrival at the Pearly Gates.

Great story. Your should write a book about your adventures. You could title it; Howard Beale Jews the World. It would be a bestseller and you could retire in luxury and go live in Monte Carlo.

I am going to look for a consultant to see if someone can turn what I can write out from my printer into the format that Amazon wants in order to publish a book. I have a damn good book in me and it's titled 'Jew Pastrami.'

I've been craving a pastrami sandwich for a while now so tonight being on a night shift I pulled into the local Famous Sams semi dive bar, who used to have a pretty good one, got out and the restaurant is now a laundromat. Dang.

Monday I'm going to hunt down a kosher deli and get me a pastrami on rye with brown mustard.

I like that instinct that strikes unerringly at snake-looking things in my yard. My dog does that, too. Last time we shot a copperhead near the shed, the dog went after it’s smell on the bucket we disposed it’s corpse with.

I’d rather shoot them than have the family pet do combat, but he’s fast when dedicated and on the scene.

The other snake we sometimes see that lives in our yard, a black racer, who can possibly out run the dog, but also rather shy and lives under the front wall away from the dog territory round back. Reptile temperaments, what a planet.

Someone suggested watching "You" earlier.

It is especially good at capturing the disdain of society that accompanies sociopathy and narcissism.
Clever in that it is funny to see how creatively the intelligent can mock society, while remaining completely blind to their own shortcomings.

In scientific society squirrels are technologically disturbed by proper chaotic mayhem high or low frequency noises and harmless chemical attacks, even neutrino bursts and short lived nonlinear gravitational waves that target their brain's malicious centers that do nothing to harm them near term or permanently, only to irritate the living mfing #$hit out of them when they invade other people's property and destroy things that they did nothing to build. They just learn to hate being @#@#heads.

In scientific society inconsiderate behavior towards other high complexity systems is punishable by instant theta function truncation of path integral contributions to various positive expectation value trajectories. It turns on it's computer and googles 'Pest Exterminator.' It selects a few of them and inquires if they can smash, demolish, kill, destroy and cause various other mayhems when it comes to squirrels and it then hires the most gruesome of the lot.
