In seriousness that is a terrible thing actually and not worthy as a phone call of great importance unless you know for sure they are happy about it and the cost is for their expertise so to speak not their tolerance. That is rationally preferred in scientific society but one should care to know they really like it and not tolerate it because then its a personal loss to know you have a "good" time while being tolerated. Its unbearable actually unless one is a genuine sob.
