Curious what Brian looks like actually. Particularly with a lobster on his head. At this point I'm picturing him as some 40 somethiing Fabio lookalike with knife duel scars.

Yeah it's fabulous. Barcelona's the only place where I almost lost my hearing (fireworks and muskets, easily 150+ decibels), my venereal-disease-free status (hot hot street hookers, never been even close to tempted anywhere else), and an eyeball after an enraged patron in a little family cafe threw a terracotta pot at the owner and shards left gashes on my face. The Spanish are nothing if not passionate.

I also saw the two Stark girls there a couple of years ago, walked right into a cafe I was in. They looked bored too. Should have asked them for a threesome, you never know.

Amazing city.

Brian is a nondescript male with a complete head of hair. A very normal looking person with an abnormal brain. Mat on the other hand looks a bit like Genghis Kahn and is probably just as dangerous.

Lobster is very tasty. I have seen giant lobster in their native habitat near Key West. I have never had a lobster tail on my head.

Oh, and I do have a small paperback book: A Modest Proposal and Other Stories by Jonathan Swift. The other stories are, I think, a tale of a tub and meditations on a broomstick by I may have the titles slightly off and other stories may be hidden between pages and along the margins. Also included is a compilation of pithy sayings by Swift. This book is well worth the price extracted from you by whatever huge, ugly and corrupt corporation you purchase it from.

FWIW, there's a few people IRL I'd wish that upon, but no one on the internet.

This is what happens without war or hunger for a couple of generations. Then they get conquered and sometimes exterminated by the more attached to reality and the whole cycle starts again.

Sounds like you're yearning for "real" challenges and real problems, whatever that is.

After further recursive experimentation and reading of relevant texts, I am confident that scones are, as I first suspected, just a really poorly imagined and executed version of American biscuits. Yes, I understand that your lot invented them and we improved upon the theme.

However, I don't understand why anyone would willingly eat one, or, more pointedly, why anyone would ruin a cup of even halfway decent tea or coffee by dipping one in. Are the shops that sell them just a sort of renaissance fair sort of thing where you imagine the old times before proper cooking was invented? Is it like using a slide-rule instead of a computer in some wistful attempt to bring the old empire back to life?

If you are going to try to make it into some sort of weird social Darwinism thing, at least do it correctly.

Well, I appreciate the candor. It's very interesting to me what happens when people who listen to understand one another connect. The reverent meat-eaters and the reverent vegans have more in common than one may presume only having the experience of hearing from perspectives of oppositional "duelism".

I finished reading an essay last night, see link below. It is great. I read The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald* years ago but have forget most of what that small novel was about. This essay however, revives my respect for this delirious man and his time. I smiled at the end. Enjoy.
