If the Chinese ever get the upper hand in technology and economy, which is possible, we'll see World War III and a Chinese empire, which will be every bit as bad as the Japanese one. Robotics and AI are going to completely transform warfare and the global force balance, and make even nukes obsolete.

Wars are bad economy, so there will not be any.

China have stated that they will intervene to protect North Korea if the US attacks first. And do nothing if NK attacks first.

That said, China will do everything possible to avoid war with the US at this point in time. They have a long game of technological and economic independence and superiority before expanding their empire to take over much of Asia, which is an openly stated core goal of many in the public and private sector, and not even a secret. They're 10-15 years out from where they want to be and they're not going to do anything to risk it. No world war yet.

They should have allowed Douglas MacArthur to strike Chinese armies in north Korea to oblivion for entering the conflict and use nuclear weapons even there but not in China. Sometimes you have to go for it (especially after winning back Seoul). Maybe the entire story would be very different today. Maybe we would have had a world war 3 but only if the aholes then China and USSR wanted it. Would they want it if never attacked in their own country? Sometimes you have to find out when you are the one with the most nuclear weapons at the time.

Then again war is terrible and escalating things is possibly unwise but damn it you need to draw the line at some point when the war is already going on and you have so many dead already and force them to ask themselves if they really need it that badly.

You let it happen because stopping it requires war. So your thinking goes that way; i will try to outlive the bs regime. Well it didnt happen. Paying £2.50 for one jam doughnut, albeit a world class jam doughnut, seems weird. On the other hand, I'd think little of paying a similar amount for e.g. a decent ice cream cone. The logic of the situation is ****ing with me.

So, they need a 48-hour warning if you are ordering more than six doughnuts. I wonder - do they have to parachute some extra bakers and materials into the restaurant to complete the order? Traffic being chaotic throughout London at all hours, I think parachuting in the extra bakers and materials is the wise option here.
