Aside from what masque posted, the sequence may also depend on how much heat is being input (transferred) to the kettle and hence into the water and the physical amount of water present and the atmospheric pressure (altitude) of the kettle. See below for info:

They only need to make us feel that they feel to pass. They don't need to feel.
That's how things will pan out, I feel.

That question will always exist, as it does now. Solipsism syndrome will become a recognised mental disorder, or mental illness will be acknowledged to have actually been a myth.

Strange - I had hazel nut gelato today. But only a small portion. Butter pecan is a great ice cream as I recall.

There was a greek semi trolling music group some time ago (still is) that was essentially possibly called "gof*ckyourselves" (Αγαμοι Θυται) but broken in different words in such a way as to actually be plausibly saying "not yet married soldiers" (or possibly even translated celibate guys) in such a way that it actually was not cursing (dominant meaning the second or third one) but it obviously was chosen in such word order to actually imply the first meaning as permanent joke.

If you want people that enjoy beer as much as you do Zeno, go to Greece.

Boiling water is a major pain. Definitely worth the effort, but very time consuming. Especially when you only need a small amount for a recipe.

Since it is such a common ingredient and (I'm sure you will agree) store-bought boiling water just doesn't have the same flavor profile and nutrition as homemade boiling water, I recommend that one should prepare it only in large amounts and then store it in the freezer to save time for those special recipes that require it. Boiling water can be kept safely in the refrigerator for up to three days, but (in a pinch for all you singles out there!!!) it keeps up to 3 months in the freezer.

If your life is too hectic to prepare boiling water yourself (a highly understandable problem!!!), at least look at the label. Free-range gluten free small batch aged low calorie artisanal boiled water is available for just a small premium if you are willing to look around.

Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

The specific heat capacity (of water) is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature (of water) by one degree C. One of the reasons I remember this is because I was deathly afraid of my physics. In retrospect, that was not a bad thing. That's useful info, if anything is useful to have permanently ingrained in your psyche.

I was also afraid of other teachers, who made recite poems and name every river in my country, in a no longer used, arguably dead language - not useful, not useful at all.

I submitted an online enquiry to the Citizens Advice Bureau today, only to receive an unhelpful email response written in the most appalling English. Princess Anne is a patron of that organization too, I believe. WTF is going on in this world?

Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/top-r...223439328.html

Republican Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona wrote that his party is in "denial" about President Donald Trump in a column in Politico on Monday.

"Who could blame the people who felt abandoned and ignored by the major parties for reaching in despair for a candidate who offered oversimplified answers to infinitely complex questions and managed to entertain them in the process," he wrote. "With hindsight, it is clear that we all but ensured the rise of Donald Trump."

"I will let the liberals answer for their own sins in this regard. (There are many.) But we conservatives mocked Barack Obama's failure to deliver on his pledge to change the tone in Washington even as we worked to assist with that failure," he continued. "It was we conservatives who, upon Obama's election, stated that our number-one priority was not advancing a conservative policy agenda but making Obama a one-term president — the corollary to this binary thinking being that his failure would be our success and the fortunes of the citizenry would presumably be sorted out in the meantime."

He said conservatives were "largely silent when the most egregious and sustained attacks on Obama's legitimacy were leveled by marginal figures who would later be embraced and legitimized by far too many of us."

"It was we conservatives who rightly and robustly asserted our constitutional prerogatives as a coequal branch of government when a Democrat was in the White House but who, despite solemn vows to do the same in the event of a Trump presidency, have maintained an unnerving silence as instability has ensued," he continued. "To carry on in the spring of 2017 as if what was happening was anything approaching normalcy required a determined suspension of critical faculties. And tremendous powers of denial."

Dating back to the presidential campaign, Flake has been one of Trump's most vocal critics among Republican senators. He wrote that he's been "sympathetic to this impulse to denial" that he earlier mentioned. But he added that the Constitution does not provide much of an ability for others in government to "do something about an executive branch in chaos."

That's right, Princess Anne. When I contact the CAB, I expect a reply from a retired, middle class do-gooder with some working knowledge of the law.

Obama's inaction and lack of intelligence has meant a war is probably inevitable, sadly, possibly more than one. Brilliant professor and orator. Dopey statesman.

Yes of course, as far as a statesman is concerned. Trump is far better at international relations. As you'd expect; billionaires are going to crush professors at international relations. It's a matter of experience at strategy, a willingness to be ruthless, and the development of a lifetime of high level interpersonal skills around highly capable/competitive people. You don't get that as a professor or a community organizer or even a politician. Those things just make you a good orator and give you good verbal reasoning skills.

Re: SMP Life is Being Drunk -Random Content thread

LOL superlolol on the ability of the prenazident moron at international, relationships.

The only problem Obama had is that he wasnt a physicist! Damn facking right at it! That is what was missing to win way more and to have also the proper replacement instead of the moron Clinton and the supermoron Trump.

They all fail in ways that i disagree with every single time. All of them left and right. But this moron now fails 24/7

Even in immigration he fails today. He will fail to protect the national cultural character of the US and he will also make it even worse for immigrants that did nothing wrong because he cant understand how one can do both things right by giving the finger to his moronic base and doing the correct thing. Its a combination of incentives for the right properties and fairness to all those that are completely innocent. But of course that requires a little more complex system than simplistic morons can understand.

I have a 90 - 10 rule about humanity. Which was recently reinforced by a DS post. So it is obviously correct in premise however much it is impossible to implement, except in isolated and localized circumstances. Sulla made an attempt long ago, then he retired. Which shows excellent wisdom. He knew his limitations.

What odds would you put on being wrong on your take on all this? Just curious.

Angela Merkel is a quantum physicist - she has a PhD in it. She's possibly more credentialed than you. She worked as a quantum chemist. Leaving her merits aside, I'm not sure scientists make good statesmen.
