It's personal. However I can say that I've never wanted to hurt someone as badly as I do at this moment. Someone hurt a member of my extended family. So naturally I want to hurt him. Im trying to stay cool.

Identifying what's wrong carries a long way, as a value of its own. Sometimes you can revenge a little bit a la Nietzsche. You have to be very socially apt for that working out though, without shooting yourself in the foot.

Usually people dig their own graves when trying to revenge.

You have acknowledged you are angry, which, in my experience, is a better position to resist the urge to fight than if you were angry and not even reflecting upon yourself about it. So from my perspective you have already started to transcend away from a pursuit of violence from anger. And you are here connecting about it, which is also a plus you may see in your favor.

I've got to assume why you are a pacifist, which is a challenge because pacifists come on a range, but any solid reasons and responsibilities to avoid violence that contributes to your pacifistic approach may help.

I believe in fighting only for two reasons: self defense; defending someone that is unable to defend themselves. I learned this at a young age thanks to a few years of studying karate.

Handling it another way can also lead to a worse outcome lol. For example one can be elaborate and entrap the aggressor to do even worse and then retaliate as defense but it can backfire and lose more that way because of chaos theory.

Only if we know what really happened we can offer opinion. Sometimes it is worth it to go to prison (or risk it) for something and have the satisfaction the mfers are done and over with for life. Sometimes mfers need to be terminated or taught a permanent lesson.

However one must carefully choose their fights and wars. For most cases it is not worth it but some response is necessary and it doesnt have to be violent or illegal. Sometimes they may not be mfers even or both parties were at fault.

Never forget intelligence is about opening up more options not closing doors without wisdom and care/burden and producing irreversible outcomes in what is seen as important things. Retaliation doesn't need to be violent. It only needs to be effective towards a better final state ie fair and overall improving the situation as much as this can be understood.

And regarding taking things in your hands by the way, don't forget some semi decent/trashy movies too like;

I have only been in the Paris airport, not the city itself. The best coffee I had in France was in Bordeaux, in a small coffee shop. It was made by an Italian Barista. The French can't make coffee correctly.
