Let me first acknowledge that you are obviously correct.

That said, I have a fair amount of disdain for both activities, and I think there's a unifying theme, which is that both are almost entirely pretexts for drinking. (Similarly the adoption of Cinco de Mayo as a holiday of grand importance to 20 something white people irks me.) I prefer my drinking pretext-free and my games to be more fun.

Nah, women like "fun," that is, inane games. They also like "getting to know you better," that is, inane conversation.

Combining "fun" and "getting to know you better" with alcohol has clear advantages.

fml no sleep, about a gazillion pints, ****ed polish girl and asian girl with no shower in between, bottle of zubrovka and god knows how much whiskey, 3g of coke and a lot of benzos. Just ate some acid. Lets have a shower in my tuxedo and smoke a decent cigar.

Saw some big wannabee gangster at that squat party bully some crusty hippy into giving him what he thought was a big line of coke. One massive line of ketamine later and he is on floor in a coma minus wallet phone and shoes.

We were somewhere around Wicklow on the edge of the An Coillte Forest Preserve when the poitín began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I'm ******' stocious, you drive..." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge potatoes, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the windows rolled down to Ballyjamesduff. And a voice was screaming "Sacred heart a' Jaysis! What are these ******' yokes?"
