That is of course the logical/sensible view if you're coming at this from first principles (life tends to thrive), but still a bit disappointing.
If you take that in regards to humans as a whole, your statement is obvious. We aren't well-built for thinking hard.
If you mean it across people, the jury is still out and your statement seems foolish. Some of my best friends wear eyeglasses and take a multivitamin because their genetics are horrific. Some of them even have to use a stepstool to reach the upper cupboards. A few of them have had to rely on learning stuff to understand stuff.
