Some Korean horror later. I gotta pay for the lifted food @ Galleria Yonge/Steeles (which is awesome btw. I don't suggest shoplifting btw.)

Janice, WMST: check out the pillars to the west end of the TRL entrances. k?

The trailer/movie has a McGuffin. I'll post in the arvo, it's mostly written but suspense. And besides, widecast Seoul 3am is what it is, baby.

Anyway.

Laphroaig I nursed about half a bottle over a year then killed it overnight. I hope I have the time to explore Islay. Wine Rack has free samples and yes, some cool Canada/Aussie, Canada/Chilean, etc. blends. Just falls under LCBO laws.

And then of course, there's the Strut line. Maybe reduce a bottle and paint a girl with the syrup.

Eternity's a bitch, $600 leather pants.

I'm doing Gin Fizzes. Any advice appreciated.

I see Stewart Lee doesn't mind using the C-word. That's not un-PC, right?

For a fan of dungeons and dragons, the phrase "eye of the beholder" has a whole extra meaning. Beholders are known to shoot death rays with their gaze.

Reading The Diary of Samuel Pepys (abridged version). Didn't know that he had written it in code that was not deciphered until years later, and then the diary was finally published.

Great story that while working and drinking beer one of his servants knocked over the beer on all his papers. He was so vexed and angry that he boxed the guys ears. A well deserved punishment in my book. Pepys liked to drink [making merry]. Good man - the diary is very enjoyable reading so far.

Big match on Monday: Aresnal Vs. Man City (only one point separation in standings). It will test Masques' hypothesis on The Heart of a Champion. And how did the human Jackals of Leicester City get to be top in the standings/points? Not by talent surely. It must be luck plus paying off the referees. The Totters are number four in standings but suspect in their durability, I think. I have seen no reference to fans killing each other, yet. But it is still early - right?

0 - 0. Both sides content with a point, with the busy Christmas schedule ahead.

Um, because they possess the Heart of a Champion?

Right.

Hark now hear, the Tottenham sing,
the Arsenal run away.
And we will fight, forever more,
because of Boxing day.

So much can be determined of the quality of a person by just one or two questions.

That is not a given. For it to happen it may for example require for Manchester City to be leading by 0-3 at half time and Arsenal to win 4-3 and then go ahead and win everything past this point topping eventually Leicester City and the rest of the gang (or even better imagine something like that for Tottenham that is even further back now). You need the moment someone takes a look at the situation and decides against all odds to put an end to the misery and recover the old spirit or go down in flames trying, earning respect.

Preferably you need a team that is a past winner and now is written off by almost all and then it reclaims glory by doing the impossible. In the end winning is not important, making it almost possible, making it hard again for the opponent, winning respect, never giving up is all that matters.

It must be clear by now what i mean guys. Of course it can be confused for bs getting lucky etc. Many times it is that but not always. It requires luck obviously to a degree. But its not exactly that luck alone and just playing the game until luck happens. It is different with teams that believe in themselves and respect the effort in the old ancient spirit of the games even if their motivations are now very different. Maybe at that moment something pure in those motivations emerges as if the team is now playing for the fans and its history, because neither deserve that defeat.

It takes someone that doesnt give up for this miracle to happen and believes in the impossible (more than the legitimate probability recovery from the abyss would estimate on luck alone). You see that belief in their eyes , in their passion to fight and not give up, in a sense of urgency and missing terror or desperation, in a frozen cold confidence that its not over. Do not write us off. Of course all the glorification that follows from media and me here will exaggerate the miracle and make an epic out of it but you know what i mean. Its not just luck that takes you there. Its your soul refusing to settle and signing off to the failure.

Leicester City cannot be that as it is now. However Leicester City could be that if after this historical unexpected run they had this first part of the season (with the fired coach of the Greek National team lol) they lose on the second round, they drop points and now suddenly all faith in the rational world is restored when other more historically winning teams are ahead leading again.

Imagine in one recent match, 5 points behind the leader at start, they are found behind in the score in the second half to this current leader in their home. A young woman from the stands comes out evading security with a bag, runs at the center of the field and at the shock of everyone opens the bag and a little fox comes out running. As she is arrested the fans explode in the stands applauding and chanting for several minutes paraphrasing the club's official anthem 'When You're Smiling' ; reclaim the smile , reclaim the smile , reclaim the smile. The team wakes up motivated, makes a final push, winning in the last 5 matches everything left anywhere to offer their fans a rare historical moment. That was our year, we refused to give up what was ours to lose. You know some ridiculous story like that lol, team of destiny moment.

It typically requires a fall from grace that wont be accepted.

Here is an ultimate bs free example;

CSKA Moscow vs Olympiakos 61 - 62 euroleague final 2012

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_E...gue_Final_Four

(watch the score till the end to see what it means to not accept your defeat when almost all others have lost faith while trailing almost all the match but the last second it changes finally)

However this brief video doesnt capture the real story that is more extreme.

How can you ever win from 53-34 down with about 12 min left? Then from 7 points behind with 3 min left. How can you win when 1 point behind with 9 seconds left and the leading team shooting 2 free throws?

This is how (full match, sorry couldnt find in English)

play by play link

http://www.euroleague.net/main/resul...11#!playbyplay

Most teams just accept defeat at 53-34. It is almost impossible to turn 53-34 to 61-62 in 12 min.

Yet more reasons for some people to have drinks. Maybe Colombian ones this time to take away the pain or celebratory ones in Philippines.

When you check the premier league points sometimes you see other news there in the site. For everyone that has a bad moment (and of course those are far more important than this) recall that sometimes it is their failure not yours.

How can you do that to a woman? Special rule in place and share it damn it. Trump's curse...

PS :Miss Greece was ejected from the competition for inappropriate behavior hahaha wonder what that was lol.

"Greece – Katerina Galiatsatou was appointed "Miss Hellas 2015" at a closed door ceremony organised by Vassilis Prevelakis, national director for Miss World in Greece. But Galiatsatou was replaced by Spyridoula Valasiadou, Vice Miss Hellas 2015 due to her inability to participate at Miss World because of a family emergency. However, after a few days Theodora Moschouri replaced Valasiadou for undisclosed reason. Moschouri who traveled to Sanya was expelled after a few days by the Miss World Organization due to inappropriate behavior."

Bad girls bad girls, what you gonna do when they come for you...

I know right, one doesnt know who to feel sad for here lol. Maybe it was someone else's error because i cant believe this isnt the most important moment of the evening that you focus 100% on doing it right plus you have time as they wait to pretend the suspense is building while you make sure you no way in hell have it wrong checking 3-5 seconds, as much as needed below 10, constantly looking at the paper.

Who knows what happened.

I dont know how to recover from this what do you do, do you kneel down and beg for forgiveness telling something sweet to Miss Colombia like that she has something nobody ever did to be remembered forever as the beginning of a great career in media but...the career starts with a test of grace?

How do you do it?

She seemed to take it well enough on the video, but the cameraman was generous enough not to zoom in on her for awhile. Harvey needs to find a creative way to apologize, not just twitter and flowers. Even if her name was on the teleprompter, he should have damn well known who really won, lol.

Epic story of class struggle complete with multi-angular decision-based gaming. I bought extra Phoenix Downs(the feathers that bring a character back to life) in case one of the squad get's drunk KO'd while leveling up on chocobos and goblins.
