I'm glad I escaped and made it elsewhere. Will be back through sometime in February. We can resume where we left off.

Scarecrow ESB is ok but I was expecting more bite and punch. Still it is Beer and went well with the fish and chips (excuse me, spicy tater tots) and rounded off the meal with a flourish. Beer is food. We all know that.

The phrase, "but I have been looking forward to a long and costly court battle and have abso-****ing-lutely no interest in negotiating" was me the end of the conversation that set me off.

It is a good time to not be in my general viscinity.

Looking forward to February.

In order to properly stroke the ego, one must leave the audience begging for more. Or so it seems.

Mat is a great guy. So are his doggy's. All confirmed on a short rambling hike over red rocks. I'll check my camera phone; I think I did take a few photos of our bar hopping night. Hopefully they are not as fuzzy as my memory.

No. I mean yes. I mean dangerous as compared to what? The bubonic plague?

Red Rock is awesome.

Given karma, Mat must have really ****ed up a prior life to have to deal with the various annoying nutters on this website. Good set up for next life though.

Doggies and other amenities of this life notwithstanding.

I know I was drunk but I can't think what I said that elicited this response.

Drink faster than what? Than normal? Do people have a normal drinking speed?

As fast as the waitress brings them.

I think so. Its situation (and quality of beer) dependent and in this case I was comparing to a less tense footy match in pub where there's reasonably easy access to the bar.

That doesn't apply for some people. The trick is to make sure the staff knows that you are a very important drinker.

Lestat,

Sometimes people name themselves as idealizations of what they would like their fullest selves to be.

So, ma frere...

There's Gabrielle indeed.

I'm in my second year of studying computer science and automatic control and we had a philosophy seminar ( we have one every other week) and it's held by an old lady. She started by showing us a volume of Thus Spoke Zarathustra (and mispronouncing Nietzsche) and then proceeded to present the Allegory of the Cave. I didn't feel like it was an obvious transition , I was like "uhm... hello?", but I said whatever and boy, oh, boy...

I've never heard a more monotonous, insipid and bland presentation of a philosophical text in my life. No intonation, no pauses, no passion, no resonance between her and the text, zilch, of course she lost us after the first two paragraphs...

Why oh why do I wonder why people don't get into philosophy more or why they think it's useless, a joke, something people want to major in if they want to lose weight dramatically, but can elaborate as to why it wasn't a choice in fact, you see, it's the initial condition of the Universe, if we knew it we could predict etcetc... "Pshhh, I'll have nothing of you philosophizers, all you do is talk."

I'm done.

How can you talk about self-overcoming and the superman as if you were trying to sell e-cigs, holy ****, look us in the eyes, slam the table with your fist, raise your voice, point fingers, wave your hands about, speak from your heart, don't read off of a paper... you're supposed to teach philosophy and can't talk freely about these things? Gimme a break...

And to top it off, she had one of those religious bracelets around her wrist, with christian figures in little icons. We all know what a big sympathizer of Christianity ma boy Freddy was.
