you can get more than enough protein from non-meat products. nuts, rice and beans, even dairy products (veggie not vegan) work fine imo

Aren't altruistic beings just lucky that it's generally unacceptable to behave selfishly? I am so often applauded for such behavior when I understand I absolutely wouldn't behave this way if I didn't, well, want to.

Also, when someone does something expecting but not receiving reciprocation, (specifically in the form of appreciation) they're often vocal about not receiving it. Seems more like a poorly calculated time/effort investment.

That is that microstakes is. Believe it or not most of 2p2 are not that good, and if they know about fancy **** like 3b light or baluga **** they arent anythig special just run of the mill. Poker at the small stakes is dead and even if it were'nt, life would be ****ing lame playing these stakes trying to ameka living. It sucks and the game is uo- good luck everyone, I'll hope to come back as a maniac-4-bet-bluffer when I'm 80 year old and havent plated for 50 years. see you later guys. Let me first acknowledge that you are obviously correct.

That said, I have a fair amount of disdain for both activities, and I think there's a unifying theme, which is that both are almost entirely pretexts for drinking. (Similarly the adoption of Cinco de Mayo as a holiday of grand importance to 20 something white people irks me.) I prefer my drinking pretext-free and my games to be more fun.
