Just took my fifth actuarial exam today, and I'm pretty sure I'm about to be five-for-five. Have to wait two months to find out for sure. Obviously I'm posting in this thread since I'm drunk celebrating the end of studying (for a couple months anyway).

Two months?

Slaming beers or sipping single-malt scotch? Or doing a bit of both?

Congradulations in advance.

Kind of. Probably not electively, though.

Can someone post that comic with the two guys talking, one with a computer, and he's an arts student or something and the other guy is berating him for coming up with a counter-argument to relativity or something, and refers to a that while science is open he can't overturn scientific consensus on a topic he just learned an hour ago with his car on a train analogy?

thx

Don't know really, but it's in the south, I don't think they play much lax in the south. But I won't be joining a frat, just will probably be getting drunk alot more than normal...

Looking for a quote by Freud. It is something along the lines of: an ox farmer spends all day working in the field, but rarely dreams of ox.

Google and a word search of Interpretation of Dreams (the only thing I think I've read by him) didn't find it.

Also pulled an all nighter, had the bizarre experience of being glued to the TV here in Malta watching coverage of a manhunt/siege in the tiny little rural village I grew up in until I was old enough to escape.

Txs, I hate exercise but drunken foosball is a habit that's tough to break.

What's the aveage lag time these days? For most Journals it used to be about 2 years from submittal to actual published date (knowing of couse that it will vary between type of Journal etc).

By the way, congradulations.

The one being published in discrete mathematics was submitted in August of last year. The one being published next year was submitted January of this year. I don't know the average lag time, but 2 years seems about right for most papers.

I think when he says it will take 4 years to restore power its a silly claim like how long it woud take to put out the oil well fires in Iraq. Its the usual hype of of a real but much smaller concern
