I’m going to miss Boris Johnson; he was a lot of fun and never boring. He should embark on a world wide speaking tour. Then retire to rural Sicily and grow grapes.

The Spanish invented Tapas to cover their drinks so that flies wouldn't go in.

The Europeans don't tend to drink pints. They rather a smaller sized beer. If you ask them why they are drinking small beers with a pint in your hand, they will either mention the heat, or the carbonation. I don't agree either way. Nor do the Brits. And to some extent the Germans I guess.

I don't know what's wrong with people these days. whippersnappers. Take something that interesting and ruin it, just to make a change, to get a power trip.

There's museums right on the red light district, that explain the history of sex work there.
Quirky like everything else there.

Cannabis, the oldest profession, and the law all coexisting peacefully.

Check out their reasoning. 'Attracts tourists...Maybe wrong kind of tourists.' Get outta here. (Referring to the Brits mainly lol).

It does seem unnecessary, outdated for the girls to be standing on the windows since the world wide web and mobile phones. They will still be everywhere and anywhere as they are, everywhere. Out of site.

Next, it would be easier to make the case for moving every bar out of the city centre. But still absurd.

The only issue with the city centre with its red light district and is in fact the drunkards waking up the people unlucky enough to be living directly above the knocking shops and pubs in the red light district.

Maybe more bars will go there and it gets livlier. Maybe some bars should go around the new red light districts.

You don't move into the same building a night club is at or into a house beside a concert arena if you can help it.

Weed smokers ain't scaring tourists away from Rembrandt, nor are sexy women in bras in any case.

If streets bustling with tourists is a problem then I don't know the question.

The red light district was kept open during all COVID. Fun fact. All the hookers died. I kid.

There was an amusing banner in the lane that read: "Stay safe. Keep 1.5m distance apart." Then underneath that: "Enjoy the red light district".

When I get back from Amsterdam in August. I should maybe check out london. I'll know if 4 times directly in a row, is satisfactory enough to say I got enough or saw enough of the place. I have my doubts. But

There’s a great deal to say but it is neither wise or prudent or very useful to state much in a public forum or anywhere in a public format. Unless you have a bunker and a million man army. Plus a few aircraft carriers. Some nuclear armed submarines would be an additional need I think. Free Speech is very costly these days.
