I thought I would try a low carb diet. It was easy, so I just went balls to the walls - ketogenic. My BMI is one point above the max recommended point. So I am relatively a lean man.
I could be wrong but I suspect this is the way to go. I am genetically destined for heart disease. So, not to be outdone, Im doing it backwards to what the last few decades of corporate science has recommended which gave my father and all his brothers either heart attacks, strokes or diabetes.
So it seems to avoid insulin resistance, I should cut out starchy foods completely. I eat predominantly fat. Olives. Yoghurt. Avocados. Coconut milk. Macadamia nuts. Grass fed beef fried in butter or lard. My carbs come from sources such as above ground vegetable and low carb fruits such as berries. Lost five pounds since Monday. almost within the right BMI range.
Scrambled eggs with cheese, and the odd processed meat such as bacon. Hamurgers with cheese but no bun. The bun is the killer. Plot twist.
Looking forward to seeing my LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in my latest blood test. Things I didnt understand two weeks ago. It's amazing what you can learn if you put your mind to it for a day or two.
No beer though. Contains carbs. So It's wine, gin, vodka etc.

This was the seed I believe. So I began listening to so called experts and doctors. An array of coincidences and some intuition thereafter.
