These accidents teach us how to do things better and care more for others and the complexity we introduce in our world.

I only watched the first episode. I do expect my mood and opinion to change in the manner you described or how else would the show be appealing....

A Russian version is in the works as a response. The truth like always will be in the middle.

All known worms are earth worms but only some are called earthworms. If there are Alpha Centauri worms, this will cause confusion in the future.

'There is no future'; this was my famous comeback to some saucy Reno pit boss babe that wanted me to get a "players card, you know - for the future." My comment shut down her annoying sales pitch flat. And I buzzed on my way.

Just because it is Thursday doesn't mean you can't start drinking. Any day that ends in y is worthy of a day spent sloshed and wandering about talking gibberish to the masses. Its what they deserve.

Really? I have my doubts, but I'll take your word for it.
Move back to Europe, then, perhaps. While it lasts. Stupid Brexitors, I fart in your general direction.

Will Brexit lead to the end of the NHS? Will it get a bad trade deal and instead incorporate a neoliberal US based insurance model instead? Fcuk that, Boris, Trump and Farage. I enjoy working my ass off and paying high taxes to help those less fortunate as the capitilistic system ate me up and spat me out already; and I get 30 days holidays per year to freely travel to wherever I choose.

It's convenient not having to vistit a bureau de change, though i have listened to Yanis' argument against a single currency.

The end game is that we must globalise. And any if any denial or barriers you put up for security's sake against that, are in fact going to accomplish the complete opposite.

A 64 hour work week, graveyard. Will be finished monday morning at 7.30am. Into five days off. Will recover by next wednesday. Paid the day after. Then need to sort out a few days holidays, so long as no one else has booked the same days I want. Then accomodation (same hotel I reckon), and flights back to the dam. That's my plan for July.

The Italian girl is either texting me or responding to mine, but it's gone very shallow. We definitely do not want to speak on the phone, but she's lingering in the back of my mind. I've led her to believe I don't care about her, but in reality i do. Games people play. Be all about a girl, and she'll lose interest. As soon as she thinks you aren't interested, she's all about you. Patrice O'Neal had it all figured it out. RIP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRSlRjOEBc8

64/7~9h ok you are approaching me. I can sympathize but i rarely feel tired in it without bosses. As long as i can sleep 6-7h and have to myself 5-6 hours more am ok with the rest ie 9-11 hours every day. The aim of scientific society is 6h per day with goal to take down to 0 unless you enjoy it. To develop the system that will save the planet and physics i need to work madly now its inevitable plus not a given it will work. Think big my friend and go west all the way to the rest of the solar system and then the galaxy. W for western civilization and the Win.

Ps: When they play games you tell her directly you are interested in some other kinds of games that involve her curvature singularities and her nonlinear coupling with the greatest future Lagrangian term that will make both lives happier than each separate Lagrangian alone would have produced. You teach her a little math and take her to a trip in magnificent landscapes and coastlines and write a few poems for her too. Take also lots of pictures because if all works out you would never be more beautiful than the moment the trip began immersed in uncertainty but confidence in the adventure. Then you promise you will never play games that insult her soul and intelligence and request reciprocity. It is that simple. Either we want to find a better life for both and whatever a union may bring or not. If we conclude something is wrong we end it or fix it because all involved must be happy and protected from any form of tyranny. But only with proper proof and evidence we care for the other side.

64 hours every 6 weeks. I will be finished in 4 hours. I'm given Monday to Friday off to be back next Saturday and Sunday for two 12 hours (8am to 8pm).
So, (64+24) / 2 = 44 hours a week average.

This is what I average on the day and evening shifts, but I have weekends off with those.
Shift work kills man. Sleeping pattern is interrupted and you're forced to readjust all the time. But it's ok.

Not when you've got two thirds of a bottle of gin, a cold bottle of tonic, a lemon and a full ice tray untouched from the weekend, I guess.

Belgravia classic car show yesterday. Another great car from Goldfinger:

Ah, I get it. I had been under the impression that you were still too young to have semi-retired. What do you do to fill the 124 hours (on average) you have off each week? How did you make such a fortune that you can live a life of leisure at your age?

I sleep for 50 of them. Which leaves 74. Sunday is a day of rest.
Let's call it 60. That sounds like a lot of free time on paper.

I am fatigued for half of them at least. I've got 4 hours a day for leisure and running errands.

P.S. I live check to check for my hedonistic ways. In a very real sense I am rich, because there is no future, as already established.

A few years after my Dad's heart attack. He got a scare and checked himself into hospital.
He wrongly thought he was a goner. And checked out a day later.

He told me something I won't forget, on what he thought was his deadbed. He said, "If I were you, I would go somewhere every month." I had returned from somewhere so it was in context, not totally random.

Before that day, he would gave me the total opposite advice. We never spoke about the future ever again, since.

I'm reminded of a personal experience.
I was walking up O'Connell Street, Limerick at 2am, March 18th of last year.

I passed a couple, who were arguing. As I approached, he then pushed her and she moved back and was kept upright by the shutters of a closed Brown Thomas shop. Bang!

So I said ok, what is my place here. I know, get involved. Protect this random girl. A fistfight ensued. Every punch I threw..missed.
All but one of every punches he threw missed. Black eye for me for a week.

He walked away. But then charged at me. So I have about one long second to think about the right thing to do when another man is running at you.
Run away? Run back at him? No, and no I thought. I opted for a teep kick. And it stopped him dead in his tracks.

It went to ground. He was on top raining down punches, all avoided or blocked. And I gave him a triangle choke. Bear in mind, I've never taken a Jiu-Jitsu class in my life. I've just seen it done by others.

In any case, it worked. I locked his neck and was able to willfully move him to bottom position where I would have been in total control. Had not his girlfriend, the one he pushed jumped in for him and started punching me.

I told this story to my friend who then told me a story, regarding our mutual friend who had the same thing happen. The moral we reached that night, was that when a drunken idiot assaults another idiot, don't be that idiot that gets assaulted by both.

Would I do the same again. Sure, why not.

Age is only a number. I asked my brother to attend this festival, with me. His response was that he is told old to go clubbing. It was a reasoned response or so it seemed. Firstly it's not a club, it's a festival. Secondly, over there, is a different culture. You couldn't stand out in a music festival in Amsterdam, no matter how much you tried. How wrong was my brother's attitude? Dead wrong.

So my best memories fromm that day, was chatting to elderly people, enjoying the ****ing moment.
