I personally drove him, his dog, and a woman, from the Strand to Notting Hill. It seemed like they were going home. I pretended not to recognize him, because everyone is entitled to their privacy, right?

At the local Fry's Electronics, they sell 25 V/2200 uF capacitors for something like $2. My memory is that the voltage rating is a maximum voltage rating, and that going to a larger voltage maximum should not have a negative impact if I do a swap. This runs off of 9 volts DC (6 AA), though I'm pretty sure that doesn't make a difference.

But I wanted to check to make sure that seemed right. I think the discharge rate is tied to the uF rating, so that's the thing I need to match...
did a short stint repairing busted power supplies, generally its the caps or trimmers(potentiometers) that needed replacing(I guess they are most prone to early death): higher voltage caps are actually - based of "popular wisdom(what i was told )"- fine, and more sustainable then their lower voltage counter parts. granted they can fit on the board. caps are getting smaller(relative to voltage) so I think it is generally good practice to replace with higher voltage, as a matter of fact - or so I was told..

Smoking circuit board seems more serious than just retired capacitors "based on my limited experience"
If we have diodes in the circuit there is videos and such to do a diode check. that can tell you if there is another sort of issue; a short or something(shorted diode was another popular fault)then again this can contain a bigger issue as in over voltage where any number of components where damaged... It is usually here where I stated the unit was non-repairable heh

Depends on the situation. If he would have felt good that people recognize him after all the years why not. If it was a sneaky situation or some awkward condition or whatever potentially uncomfortable sure just game theoretically randomize behavior except for some high IQ attempt (that is not obvious at all to be on purpose) to talk about topics that hint you may know what he knows and has worked on something as simple as random comments about current affairs he may have participated in interviews with famous people etc. Then he opens up on his own etc.

Respect of individuals personal privacy is a basic norm of civilized behavior. And should be the default position unless clear indications are given otherwise. Kudos to Lastcard.

In case anyone needs a reminder: it is Friday and drinking is not optional.

People don't look at each other in London.

Some quack is selling “healing autism” on social media for only $129.00. I needed a treatment for anxiety because of that and decided on a free one.

Oh and please purchase my “healing neurotypicallity” package for $128.50. Ha, just kidding. That’s so valuable I give it away free. Ready? Here it is:

That’s right, nothing. They think they “normal” and so don’t have anything to heal. Hahahahahaha.
What about getting triggered by flappy hands? Why not heal that ? Is that child’s flappy hands disrupting the whole classroom or just your “normal” expectations?

You sound pissed off, Spank.

That's the second time this week I've heard the term "neurotypical" used, and I've never heard it before.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurotypical

If Hounslow council uses it, and the Autistic Society recommends it, it must be PC as hell. I'm not sure I buy it, however.

I have an array of emotions. In a way neurotypical is like a joke. People are diverse on a spectrums of spectrums and neurotypical(informal) is like a ironic pidgin hole for the people who are so normal they just can’t get the more diverse spectrum of a spectrum that well. I mean we all still eat food and why is normal not to be happy with flappy hands? Who the normal boss? I don’t know- a group of different people exists just fine without a person keeping a normal hierarchy. They are just too normal. It’s treatable.

I bet you a tenner that this only something. That you're recognising as of late, roughly speaking. I've a working hypothesis going in my brain and if you were to say nah, I'd nip her in her butt. Nip it in the bud, words to that effect.

I have lived in France. I have read Nausea in French. People walk down the streets of Paris looking at each other, and down London streets looking at the pavement. This is common knowledge in certain circles.

That tune Spank posted does appear to demonstrate a sophisticated knowledge of ska and reggae, so we agree on something.

What do want to disagree about lastcardcharlie? I disagreed recently. It was fun.

Clinton Fearon was in The Gladiators.

I was kind of hoping you had disagreements with neurodiversity. It is neurotypical which is partial, while neurodiverse includes neurortypical and nierodivergent. Neurodiverse even holds neurosupremacy. Neuroequality too. So I wonder what the disagreements are I haven’t encountered.

My bold.

From my extensive reading and personal observations the bolded is generally true. Brits are too serious and always appear to be going to a meeting; the French are just silly. Silly enough to spend time ogling each other to no end.

Such music ignores national borders. According to legend. It can be smuggled on tiny chips these days, but can always be passed with the memory of ears, feet, hair, heads.

When someone thought it would be funny to hand in my name, in Portugal, to Karaoke DJ, I had to come with something I could almost pull up.

'Rat in my Kitchen' was first to come to mind.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOwubys-CuY.

Looking at the lyrics now I'm not sure ow I pulled it off considering it was years since I listened to it. Mostly anticipating the next word based on rhyming it with a previous word I read, and creative wisdom in alcohol ... Only recognizing some of the Patois now though. No way I didn't screw some up.

Edit: Scratch tat. Of course Karaoke provide lines in advance, ldo.
