My question was what proportion volume is in to circumference. If I don't want to have to derive the radius, what can I say about the effect of increasing circumference on the volume of a cylinder?

Anyway, what happened to the homework thread? I guess I'll just ask here:

If you lengthen a cylinder by 10%, its volume increases 10%. If you increase the circumference by 10%, by what percent does the volume increase?
Since V=pi*r^2*h it goes to (1.1)^2 of original (r goes to 1.1 r )(hence grows by21%)

V'=pi*r'^2*h' V=pi*r^2*h so what is V'/V if h'=h, r'=1.1r

Look at the definition of Pi, the relation between diameter and radius, then apply my previous post.

Now lets answer what happens if you increase the circumference of one of the bases by 10% but keep the other the same making a cone cut from the cylinder.

I'm celebrating my toxic masculinity this weekend by indulging in some extra Beer. Also, this weekend is the start of American Football. USA #1

Probably unfair of me, not to point out that it was a hoax article that actually got published. The fact that the journal has Cogent in the name does make it even greater.

Google Sokal Affair for an excellent hoax article that got published in a social journal. It created quite a stir at the time and still gets people bubbling mad and upset. Sokal and others that do this make a very cogent point.

I think they call it third wave feminism. I've being hearing the word feminism online for the last five years but chose to ignore the topic. The USA was the driving force behind it and it caught in the western Europe. An argument against the so-called patriarchal systems of the west.

Perhaps, beyond western Europe to other places too. I'm not up to date what's going on in South Korea at the moment besides the Asians indulging in plastic surgery to make themselves look more Caucasian.

When I talk to Eastern European women, it's clear they know their place; and it's in the kitchen beeyatch! I kid.

If I wanted to be serious, I would tell you I'm sympathetic. I understand women burning their bras. My ex told me she wears a bra because society tells her to.
Another ex told me she wears a bra because it would be uncomfortable, almost painful in fact not to. I can see now that she lied.

Prediction: Women will not wear bras and will have preserve hairy legs and armpits in the near future.

A little slow tonight, isn't it?

I’ve been day drinking just a little. Enough to now boast about it whatever you could say I am. Plus I think I got a butterfly drunk. It landed on my knee and licked me for an hour while I sat drinking.

Life as a drunk butterfly seems okay.

Hey if i have to shave every day, they better shave too where it counts to be smooth. A little hair every now and then its no big deal and its sexy sometimes but lets not go crazy about it! A big f u to feminism by the way gone bananas. Real men never needed to be reminded how to be kind, fair, loving and cooperative in greatness the other sex has to offer.

We are living in a time that men are assaulted for being men. F this. So one time you are her boyfriend and its all fine and great and no abuse ever counts as anything but sex appeal of the sob that they will forgive for endless general aholeness and the other its suddenly sexual attack and abuse. When all it takes is proper control of the situation by sensible rejection and reasonable instant response to it by all involved. You cant have it both ways and be the controllers of behavior as it suits you. Because then you are the abusers. Women are born to be flirted 24/7. If they dont want it they wont have to have it and it will be terminated.

I am currently having stupid gossip news fun time watching the collapse of the top b1tches duo of Asia Argendo and Rose McGowan. What a bunch of hypocrites and easily the reason Bourdain is gone along with his own inability to see how living mattered to so many including his daughter.

I will not deny that women have a harder time in general given how they have to balance success and still a level of appeal in appearance that puts a stress on them. But they do have an easier time too precisely for this reason very often.

Our love affair with cars know no bounds. You old world derelicts with ossified brain cells just can't understand. So don't try.

Just for another example here is an article on Rat Rods and their evolution. Rat Rods are cool and 100% American. I saw a few in Hood River, Oregon built completely from scratch.

USA #1, yet again.

Why do North Americans drive with automatic gearboxes. That's my question.
If you don't have a clutch, I lack a certain amount of respect for you.

Death to electronic handbrakes also or else death to handbrake turns.

Enjoy your vehicle now. Once they drive themselves, I do see a business opportunity though; unless virtual reality becomes indistinguishable from reality.

Yes you have to drive with stick shift (manual transmission). You have control of what is going on even if not optimal necessarily on some stupid details here and there including braking to traffic etc. You can feel the car better that way. Automatic sucks unless you play it safe for some reason or in endless bs boring to deathbed traffic. Now what comes after 5th gear though lol! Lets now go up to the mountains and feel the gear in all its glory in endless road turns under thousand year old trees. Yes US number one where it counts!

And dont worry in scientific society the solar panels in the roof of all new homes and old boring public and warehouse-factories etc businesses produce also with excess energy the synthetic fuel that makes your carbon crime to the forests a guilt free CO2 gift to them.

Plus every citizen needs to plant 20 trees every year somewhere.

Kebab grilled to perfection is great stuff. Goes well with beer. Or wine. Or even a bottle of cheap gin, speaking to 'this is not going to end well". If too many brains, remain mostly quiet and only interject to get the bigger brainy egos clashing even more. Free and fun entertainment to go along with stuffing your face and swilling alcohol.
