68.7% of people have less than $10000 (net worth probably not at all the cash available just all possessions and land, assets etc) (you know that this easily means 50% is less than 2k right?) . This 69% has only 3% of total wealth.
22.9% $10k-100k.
7.7% $100k-1mil
0.7% >1 mil (41% of total wealth 32 mil people) (this is criminal to exist without at least the sole guilt that they should finance healthcare, food and education for the 69% or at least the creation of jobs that provide them as a reasonable long term plan to retain their wealth and not face a collapse of the system)
(those are adults above and the funny thing is that the rest ie 2.3 bil are children and teens)
The opportunity loss in that 69% must be horrific. A proper minimum investment by the top 8% who controls 83% of the wealth (we are in that too probably most of us) of only 10% of their wealth into infrastructure, education and opportunity in that group would yield a triple in quality of life standards for the 69% and probably grow overall wealth for all because this is not a zero sum game if it works properly.
This pyramid's severely insane imbalance (given that the bottom 90% essentially work for the others and not themselves - a fundamental failure of any society to have the vast majority work just to survive day to day or worse) contributes to overpopulation and climate change. You better believe it that a better more balanced system would have less population growth, less stupid religious extremism, war, ethnic divisions, tribalism and more sustainable future.
