Re: SMP Cooking

For Cinco de Mayo,* here is an excellent margarita recipe:

Ingredients:
Limes, sugar, ice, water, tequila, salt.

Directions:
Make limeade out of the first 4 ingredients. Refrigerate and reserve the limeade for tomorrow's breakfast.

Pour the 4th ingredient into a shot glass. Serve immediately. Repeat as necessary.

Reserve the 5th ingredient for making pasta at a later date.

*this is the holiday in which Mexican's celebrate the discovery of mayonnaise.

I made this chocolate cake for Easter:

using flour rather than ground almonds, and high-class extra virgin olive oil. It is the GOAT chocolate cake, trust me on this.

I think you have developed as a cook almost enough to make proper fudge.

Re: SMP Cooking

Try finding fresh horseradish in London. Not easy. But worth it, right? In the end, I went with Alton Brown:

Does posting a recipe for a condiment without posting what you served it with proper etiquette in London?

I mean, horseradish sauces of all types are excellent to dig into with just a spoon, but at least tell us how happy you were with the results!

Not sure. My copy of Debrett's is a little out of date. We are having it with some smoked eel and a simple potato salad (new potatoes, vinaigrette, parsley). Not your potato salad, for which I am grateful, and which I will get round to making in due course.

Well I don't know. It's busy infusing overnight in the fridge. It will be better than anything out of a jar is all I know. I have nothing else to compare it with.

It certainly should be better than horse apples - Right? You can claim that you have never ate a horse apple but I will not believe you. At the very least you have smelled them. I've heard parts of London are simply awash in horse apples during some events.
