I am happy to have also lived sometime in places like Switzerland, France and UK and there is beauty, ethical, cultured behavior by many people there that is uplifting. Many original liberal ideas started there. Lets also not forget the progress in many metrics seen in many countries in the north eastern part on how to organize society better. Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, UK, Spain etc gave you modern Physics, Math, Literature, Art and Music.

If you lost all these you would have lost the soul of the elementary paradigm that virtue exists in simple balanced life with nature without too much fanfare or exhibitionist hubris. Zeno that would kill me too by the way since i am located in Santa Clara country currently, together with at least 10000 decent people i have personally met and care for and another 40 mil or so i never did, including some deplorables that i still care for.
