The Sleeping Gypsy is at MoMA. The artist is described through a link in the wiki page.



I've been to MoMA often enough and always found this painting to be captivating and have no idea why and that's why I looked at it for so long so many times. Any opinions?

I should mention that it was prominently displayed when I visited, no side gallery for this one, which was another ?????? to me.
