Giannis is 230lbs soaking wet & has probably put on 15-20lb of muscle since he entered the NBA. Zion is 18 years old and outweighs him by 55lbs, in 4-5years he will be 300lbs & be the most unstoppable force we've ever seen, Giannis will literally run out of the way when he sees Zion.

As is, Zion will massively fail in the NBA. He can't shoot, and will resort to a back-to-the-basket iso post-up game, which is obsolete against the elite athletes of the NBA.

If Zion chooses to transfer to another school in order to get rid of the duke AIDS, and isn't drafted by the Knicks, he will be an all-time great. A mix of Giannis, Blake Griffin, Tracy McGrady, and Shaq.

Zion probably won't be putting on weight when he hits the league. Definitely agree he will peak early with his play-style/build. Once he loses some hops, he will just be a better version of Julius Randle. That said, I'm still on the hype train.

embiid averaged 11 points a game in college, so when he was zion's age it looks like nearly everyone could defend him

kansas had andrew wiggins and frank mason dominating the scoring that year. embiid had also only been playing basketball for like 2 years by the time he got to kansas, and had trouble playing defense without fouling. it became clear to anyone that watched him that he had an absurd amount of athleticism but was stupidly raw.

somehow though, despite not being able to play defense without fouling, he was the big 12 defensive player of the year.

A lot of top picks are busts and it’s not always due to skill, oden clearly busted due to injuries. I don’t think Zion will be a bust but that isn’t the best rationale. Fultz looks like a bust and it’s basically been issues with his head and injury issues.
