Funny how the racists are the biggest snowflakes.

My impression is that the focus will be on TV and streaming. It wouldn't surprise me if the league-owned teams played indoors. Either way, cheap tickets and small stadiums with somewhere around college level quality of play. Similar feel to minor league baseball, I'm guessing. Not going head-to-head with the NFL and cutting out the silly extras will give the XFL a chance to find its audience and fill its niche.

In other words, it will work, but don't expect the world. Regarding gambling: I don't know how that will fly. I don't see bookmakers taking action on contests where both sides have the same owner.

Jumping off from that idea, it could work even better as a work league than a shoot league. Would there be an audience for that?

So they'll be competing with CFL, Arena, and the AFFL with Vick, Ochocinco, and TO if they run this in the offseason. CFL and Arena will have a higher quality of tackle football. He's pretty delusional to think he's gonna take the NFL's spot.

Fwiw they took action on the 1st XFL so I don't think the gambling part will be a problem.

LOL at this Busch League crap. At least half of all NFL games are so boring they are unwatchable. College is even worse (unless you like games without defense) if you don't have rooting/gambling interests. No one is going to tune in for a bunch of scrubs playing for teams which the public is not emotionally invested in.

Easy, he hates that his only real success is in wrestling and he's taking one more shot at expanding his legacy before he croaks.

Yeah, lol. "No politics" means "Players have to stand for the national anthem," which they didn't even do in the NFL until the NFL took money from the military.

This is basically a league where sensitive snowflake fans can have a safe space to cry tears of patriotism.

January seems like a terrible time to start. Maybe it's easier to get players? Guys will treat the XFL as an NFL audition, but wouldn't want to risk injuries closer to training camp?

March seems better. Got to compete with spring training baseball, NBA games where everyone is resting or tanking, and maybe NASCAR or something?

March through May competes with March Madness, the Masters, NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, and the start of the MLB & MLS seasons.

Late January & February seem softer, and you continue the football-watching habits of the target audience.

Starting almost immediately after the SB is best imo. Pitchers/Catchers haven't reported. NBA and NHL are only in the regular season. March Madness has yet to start. Get a few weeks where nothing is going in the sporting world to build your brand.

NBA Finals begin early June
NFL regular season begins early September

So you could schedule a side football league from early June to late August and get a solid 3 months in. Obviously need either, AC domes, cold weather locations, or short games.

lol

Should just respond to every political post he makes with a link to Storm Front. Perhaps he'd fit in better there.

To be honest, I like the idea of a sports league with the swagger and over-the-top showmanship of the WWE. Putting the emphasis on the quality of the TV product, keeping games reasonably short, kicking out players that do stupid **** off the field, all decent ideas. Problem is football just seems a sport that's already saturated its market and has huge structural problems with concussions and injuries. idk, maybe start up an Xtreme rugby league or bring back American Gladiator or something.

"Over the top showmanship" seems at odds with "kicking out players who do stupid ****."

I don't know, the WWE seems to do a decent job of putting on a show without having performers who get into trouble outside the ring. But it is true that if you're going to make a from-scratch football league that's designed to showcase career ****ups and people who make terrible life choices like Johnny Football, you're going to have a hard time keeping them from being dickheads off the field.

yeah the wwe is at the top of its field, so you can be picky. The xfl is going to only get the NFL rejects, and they are going to struggle to even get that. They might be getting the CFL and Arena rejects. Considering it seems like Vince is going to try and run all of this with 100 million dollars.

Even Vince supposedly paying for it all himself is the kind of lie that Trump loves to tell. The endgame here is scamming millions out of an old billionaire or two who are tired of those nfl thugs not standing for the anthem.
