Bwahahaha; Justin Gatlin. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

Wins and tells the crowd to shush--classic Gatlin! Announcers even waited as long as they could to say he won despite it being pretty obvious, lol.

Re: World athletics championships AKA GOATlin

so turns out this was the worst day in athletics history. bolt's final individual outing, twice banned gatlin wins gold in the most important event of the games and ayana laps almost the whole field due to her incredible talent and christ knows what else. supposedly they had to keep the mic away from radcliffe...

Gatlin's win was concerted damage control by big pharma after the beating Shkreli took. Old fashioned rubber and iron now on the decline.

been looking at the schedule and even at this early stage i would like to draw your attention to the 50k and 20k race walks which take place next sunday morning, the 13th. you can expect fainting and crashing into barriers, ****ting, rectal bleeding, in fact all manner of exciting bowel activity

put it in your calendar now to avoid missing out

I for one at am a loss as to why our entirely objective and non-partisan BBC commentators don't throw the same accusations at Sir Mo.

Or Bolt. Although obviously not for his performance last night.

Re: World athletics championships AKA GOATlin

Wouldn't have minded very much if Coleman had won, but it was pretty tilting to see Gatlin get there. **** that guy, 8 years off wouldn't have been enough.

First Swedish medal in the throwing events (not including regional championships like the Euros, though it's been over 25 years there too) ever last night, pretty cool. Shame to miss the gold by 2 cm, but I think he'll win more and throw much farther in coming years.

Also enjoyed seeing Tirunesh Dibaba taking the silver in the 10,000 metres. Bolt's reign was 10 years (first medal in '07), and this is 14 years after Dibaba's first gold in 2003. Obviously don't mean to directly compare the two, but more as an illustration that I like these superstars who can stay on top for a long time. Doubtful there will be a medalist this week with a longer span?

tbf mo isn't demolishing 20 year old world records on 2nd ever competitive attempt at a distance or winning 10ks vs a world class field by 3/4 of a lap

Not even sure this is being broadcast here as women's golf is on.

Oh, and they did have handstand walking in the Crossfit games yesterday. On purpose, though.
