The opening ceremony has come and gone, time for a thread. The
hockey and
Curling tournaments already have dedicated ones. But there are a load of other fun sports there for discussing, and let us continue the old tradition of watching sports every four years and talking out of aur asses like we're experts.
Time zone obviously sucks but I hear everything's tape delayed in Murica#1 anyway.
Anyway, let's get to the some of sports
Alpine skiing
The pinnacle of this, the men's downhill, takes place saturday 9 pm Eastern time. Great for the North Americans, bad for the Euros. But there's countless different ways to tumble down a hill on skis, so we'll be covered.
Speed skating
Bizarrely has been dominated by the dutch. Another sports that gives out a million gold medals for various different distances.
Cross country skiing
Boring af but a quintessential part of the winter olympics
Sky jumping
a wonderfully silly sport.
Figure skating
Questionable if any iron rods will be involved.
Biathlon
Really hoping for some german medals here. As the old saying goes: "That's what Germans do- shoot and run for the woods".
Snowboard
they went with the times a few years back and added a whole bunch of snowboard events. Pictured is my favourite event at the Olympics, snowboard cross. Crashes guaranteed.
Throwing yourself down a bob track in many different ways
Including crazy people who go head first

Lettuce Olympics!
