Choi's performance in the women's short track 1500m was really incredible - not sure I've seen a sport before where someone is so head and shoulders better than the rest. She just spends the race cruising and then with a few laps left is like "ok, time to win, gonna leave you all in the dust now, bye".

Katie Ledecky thinks it's cute that she waits until the end to pull away

Ligety just no longer has it. I did not expect him to really contend here anyway but that time was real bad

Not sure how delayed that was, but in the 1000M men's short-track, did the American not realize there was a whole other lap left after the crash? Looked like he was really interested in what the down skater were going to do instead of the one dude in front of him, no?

I don't think he was considered a favourite, where the Canadian was. I don't think he really believed he could have beat the Canadian dude and was pretty happy with a silver.

McEachran just put down a ridiculous slopestyle run, being the 2nd skier of the first round I'm not sure he will get a super high score, but at any other time that would have been a gold medal like run.

Basically, lol slopestyle judging.

Even with 2 runs to go that 95 probably is not getting touched

There was a great competition between 10/15 riders, then Hirscher came and destroyed everybody

Yeah, I had the impression the athletes got the result way before it was shown in the broadcast.

Athletes knew it within ten seconds. The 1 flashed next to Fourcade's name on the TV screen pretty quickly too, but the actual photo took a while.

One of the USA IOC members is blaming the poor performance on the fact millenials don’t have any interest in sports and said it was virtually impossible for them to field decent alpine skiing and speed skating teams
