He is the coach of Penn State Basketball. He won the NIT in 2018 and would have made the tournament last year. He has had some success in a school known for football, and had the program on the right path.

That said, he is a known hot head and shoved a student in the chest during a loss.

Speaking to an African American athlete, he approached him and told him he was feeling too much pressure, "how do we loosen that noose around your neck?"

The student then complained and he met with the students parents and told the students his parents were "organized" and "well spoken".

Penn State, because they handle everything so well, sent the student athlete to a psychiatrist who suggested the student athlete learn to deal with Coach Chambers personality type!

It's a bad story for Coach Chambers and Penn State University. Does Chambers deserve to be fired, or is a suspension and training appropriate?

It's the offseason for college basketball, but is one of the biggest college basketball stories right now.

I think # 1 is if they will have a season and how it looks.

This is probably the second biggest story in the sport currently.

He would probably be head coach at a Mid Major competing for conference championship most years.

He's a pretty good coach.

Why is this a thread? A shitty coach, in a shitty bball program, with a shitty team, did standard coach-like things. 50/50 whether he loses his job, but who cares? It's not like it's Kryzewski.

He's a good coach turning a shitty program around.

It is currently the top NCAA Men's story.

I suspect the Ivy League cancelling fall sports will probably soon surpass it. Getting fired in a sport that cannot play would be ironic.

He's been there 10 years and hasn't made the tourney.

I know this guy Craig, who got fired on his day off last Thursday.

He would have made the tourney this year, had there been a tourney.

Apparently he will not.
