With Belichick going 11-5 when Brady went down in 2008 and now 3-0 without Brady and Gronk and now Jimmy, it's time to wonder if Belichick is more valuable to this franchise. What do you guys think?

The craziest thing is I think the #2 NFL coach is less valuable than Brady. I'm not even quite sure who the #2 NFL coach is.

Most unfireable coaches in sports

Belichick
Popovich
Saban
Krzyzewski
Geno Auriemma jk womens basketball isn't a sport

Am I missing anyone? There is the 99.5% unfireable tier, but those 4 stand alone to me

Urban and Cal minus firing for sanctions

I would assume Pete is the second most secure NFL coach

The question implies some decent length of time with the org so for MLB I'd say Matheny and not factor in Maddon.

NY is NY or Girardi would be a candidate.

Hey I'm a UK fan. Urban Cal Izzo Pitino is my 99.5% (maybe should of been 99.95%) tier.

Also Izzo might be better than K right now (debatable, I actually have K>Izzo). But K has 5 titles and 12 final fours. K has the Duke job until he dies if he wants it.

Well to be fair Cal is more of a recruiter than he is an actual coach.

This post is just thinking who would be #1 out of MLB, not that they belong on the list.

Maddon in TB woulda tho.

I fully understand why this narrative is prevalent now, but you should have seen the ****ing talent Cal brought the best out of in his early years at UMass. The first time we made the sweet 16, we were starting players named Will McCoy Jack Herndon and Tony ****ing barbee, they were, I promise, not highly touted recruits. Even our current coach, Derek Kellogg, who was the starting point guard for our team that went to the elite 8 in 1995 (and should have final 4'ed, ****ing big country Reeves and Oklahoma state) was just a local kid who went to the catholic high school down the road.

Calipari was/is a master motivator, and even if he's not a master schemer he's 1/1 at getting A+ efforts from his guys, and that goes a long way in college ball.

Even our 96 final 4 team that was really the only team the whole tournament that gave that stacked rick pitino coached UK team a game (pitino played at umass in the 70s and got calapari his job, irony), had Camby and noone else who made it in the nba. Edgar Padilla, Carmelo Travieso, Dana Dingle, Donta Bright, were the other stars of that team. I think we lost by like 8 to a UK team with like 7 lottery picks on it. Calapari can coach his ass off if he wants to.

Sorry for derailing this thread to talk about mid 90s college basketball. UMass has made the tourney once since Cal and his immediate predecessor was unjustly fired.

Considering Brady is in the running for best QB ever, these early poll results are surprising. Not even a single vote for him
