maybe this is just semantics but there are bad posters who are positive for the forums because we need people to laugh at (eg riverman and g10) and then there are bad posters that just make the forum awful (eg the guys steroid boy has drafted).

Thing that was funny about thremp was how seriously he posted about H&F while apparently never really actually doing much or any of it. Much like h.enr.y17

His arrogance really knew no bound and was just impossible to have any discourse with, since he would word bomb and post bomb, and basically cry like a little girl while verbally abusing anyone. Even if 99% of a thread thought he was wrong (like the classic steak debate with el D) he still wouldn't back down. it's dogmatism at its finest.

i will say I have almost never posted in baseball threads and I think (???) he had value there, so I understand if a small pocket of ppl really liked him, but most of his dealings with other sports were insufferable

Yes folks we go to the opposite end of the spectrum for this pick. If Not Lolo and Ray Horton are paddling around in the SE shallow end, Iggymcfly is no doubt the guy who can't swim, cannonballed into the deepest part of the pool and is drowning.

His sortbyPER, sortbyANY/A, sortbywhatevermetriccurrentlyprovesmyargument has driven many quantifiably inclined SE'ers insane with his bastardization of just about every statistic that there is. With Iggy, the numbers never lie, and when they do make sure you don't point it out to him or you will be ignored like Michael Vick ignores oncoming defensive linemen.

Most succinctly identified here:

Everyone go read that thread. It has 20 posts and you've probably never seen it. It's hilarious.

Many picks in this draft have been avoided, like BAIDS alluded to, because of the difficulty in doing justice to the writeup. We had the same fears with iggy: where to begin, how to describe his soulsucking nature, how to convey his idiocy and impossible ego and lack of self-awareness? We've researched as much as we can to try to do these things, so here are a sample of Iggy's greatest hits.

Iggy on the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles:

Now when it comes to individual players, Iggy is happy to take a metric and sort by it to rank them according to how he likes, but when it comes to teams he loves to sponge other outlets, including FootballOutsiders. He does this in place of any eyetest or non-statistical analysis, because he doesn't really understand sports. The Eagles were a great example of this and many lols were had. As the "dream team" lost game after game, they remained stubborn in Iggy's top 5.

Iggy was actually BOOTED from SRM's great rankings exercise only three weeks into the season for his outlandish, youmustbetrolling, reversesortbyturnovermargin "power rankings". Some MAD posting resulted.

That's insane. I literally worked on those power rankings for over 3 hours yesterday.

BUT this is where the awfulness that is iggymcfly becomes almost an artform. Convinced of his own superiority and that SE was somehow missing out on his "perspective" HE IMMEDIATELY STARTED ANOTHER THREAD WITH HIS OWN RANKINGS AS THE OP.

He even posted an update group rankings if his had been included, titling it:

Oh the butthurt levels are high.

His 1. Chargers and 4. Eagles and the pigheaded stubbornness that has accompanied these reads has deinitely been the lowlight of Iggy's time in SE, and his inability to discern a good NFL team from a bad one in the face of mass cajoling, hilarity, persuasiveness, etc is what he is famous for as a bad poster. However, let us not pretend that he has not graced SE's hall of shame with various other exploits.

(Ocassionnally complete with someone else's bitchsmacking, the only positive he ever provides)

Peyton: Missed the entire season after having his 3rd and 4th neck surgeries, a question mark to ever regain the same arm strength

2012
Rivers: Age 31, looking to bounce back from a down season with the same team where he's played for his entire career.
Peyton: Age 35, going to a new system in Denver after being released by the team where he'd played his entire career due to his injury issues.

Iggy on fumbling:

Michael Vick
2012: 5
2011: 4
2010: 3
2009: bench
2008: prison
2007: prison
2006: 2

Eli Manning
2012: 0
2011: 4
2010: 5
2009: 8
2008: 4
2007: 7
2006: 2

So in the sample I could find, Vick lost 14 fumbles over 46 games (4.87 average over 16 game season) and Eli lost 30 fumbles over 101 games (4.75 average over 16 game season). Don't really think there's really anything there that would suggest there's a statistically significant difference between the two players when it comes to losing fumbles.

Iggy on TEBOW:

The Packers, at this point had played Alex Smith, Cutlahhh and Russell Wimson, in his 3rd career start.

They gave up over 930 yards in the next two games, and finished with a league average defense.

And let us conclude with some more Iggy RANKINGS, this time from the NCAAF world.

Georgia had outplayed #1 Bama, losing 32-28. Florida had lost a semi-home game to Georgia by 8 earlier in the year.
