Gotta love tha dood. Hater to the absolute bitter end.

The dood was saying that okc ran under expectation and the woyas were lucky the first half (or something to that effect). Like y'all never seen STEPH light up the 3rd quarter like a Christmas tree. He gets better as the game goes on. I knew STEPH and klay would heat up and wed bury those frauds.

Destiny belongs to those prepared, focused, humble and confident. Destiny belongs the goat. The destiny is STEPH. Sometimes it's as simple as that.

Gotta think OKC is done if they don't grab game 3

Yeah agree if OKC loses game 3 its all over. Thing is even if the warrs lose game 3 I still expect them to win in 6. OKC is a damn good team though. Just sucks for them to play in the same conference as a GOAT team like the warriors.

Two thoughts reinforced themselves in my mind after this game
  • Draymond is a massively hateable punk, but he's also really good
  • Steff is playing at a level nobody has played at before

Neither of those ideas is new, but last night was just continued confirmation.

The thing is, Green wants it. Gotta respect that with all the melo type slankers around.

Dray is only a massively hateable punk for 48 mins. Flake, Labron, Melo, Dwight are massively hateable all the time.

I don't think you actually want this, you're basically two steps from longing from the days of MJax offensive sets. what makes the warriors so great is all the action off the ball makes the D work. As the game goes on it really pays dividends bc the D will make more mistakes. That's when you see those back cuts start to work that get layups or when the rotations/switches become less pure and Steph/Klay get more open looks. It's not a coincidence that they continuously crush the 3rd quarter.

Agreed. They got away from that in game 1 and panicked doing terrible ISO drives and contested 3's. Didn't seem like Curry touched the ball enough in the 4th till he had to jack up really contest 3's when it was a 4 point + game.

Thunder should prob play Waiters more and hope he's productive. Better prospect than hoping Roberson makes himself necessary to defend

Roberson needs to just let it rip and hope it goes in
He's wide open and doesn't shoot just let it fly

Waiters is garbage

Pretty cool to watch the Dubs solve another playoff opponent. Within two games they have made first Roberson and then Kanter pretty much unplayable and Curry's burst in Q3 shows that they've now figured out how to attack Ibaka when he gets switched onto Curry (which can happen every trip down based on Thunder's switch everything scheme.) Not sure what OKC's counters are other than hoping RWB and KD can ball out individually and Curry has three games of below average shooting.

There's a reason he doesn't shoot. Agree that Waiters is not good but he makes the woyas defend more honestly

Edit: not that I think Roberson should be glued to the bench

I don't hang out with Dray/Melo/Lebron/etc so who gives a ****? Dray is hateable 95% of the time he's on my tv. I would laugh uncontrollably if he got KO'd by Adams

GSW wins game 3 in a blowout, Thunder rally and fight in game 4 but GSW wins in a squeaker, and Curry scores 40 in another blowout win in game 5.

I agree. But if you're not going to get Curry the ball then what's the point? They were moving the ball decently game 1 but Klay and Curry weren't getting many touches. Watching the rest of the scrubs shoot is gross despite pretty good ball movement. You need to start doing the pick and roll to at least guarantee that Curry will be seriously involved in the offense. Even last night he barely got the ball in the 2nd quarter.

It's too easy to switch the off-ball screens without doubling Curry, so I believe it's easier on the defense for the Warriors to play Curry off the ball.

Against great teams you can't have stretches like that where the two best shooters in the league aren't getting shots. And the pick and roll generates a lot of ball movement once Steph gets doubled. It's not like lolMJax sets.

Durant went from cursing at Waiters and feeling it to getting crushed and tech'ed on tilt very quickly. OKC is going to go from happy to split on the road to unhappy when they lose game 3 to full on tilt in game 4 and then will lose game 5 by about thirty. Durant to LAL in off season.

RWB had the amazing third quarter in Game 1 but it's hard to mentally come back when Curry scores 15 points in 2 minutes and your superstar has never scored more than 41 in a playoff game.

I don't think that Curry's slow second quarter in game two was entirely attributable to scheme. Curry sometimes conserves energy on the offensive end for stretches, just like Jordan used to do. He doesn't dog it by any means, but he hunts his shot a bit less aggressively.

I also think that you are underestimating what a nightmare cover Curry is off the ball. He probably moves better off the ball than any guard in the league and a lot of good on ball defenders lose concentration and discipline when forced to guard him off ball for extended periods.
