Warriors in 5/6 is inevitable, accept it. If you're stocking up on Cleveland because you think they "flipped the switch" I have a banana I want to put in your tailpipe.

Dis, you're really bad at predictions on 2+2 bro.

Well, the last 2 playoffs especially the finals were decided by injuries, one to kyrie and love and the other to curry.

I grew up in the 80's/90's and I'm in the LeBron camp. I think it's silly to bring up winning titles as the go to metric. If you are going to do that, I guess Bernie Williams is a better CF'er than Griffey because Bernie won 4 WS and Griffey never played in one. Isn't there some guy that was on the Lakers/Spurs with more rings than MJ? Part of winning a ring is being on the right team at the right time.

You're thinking of Robert horry, and the argument isn't what role player rode the coattails of Olajuwon, Robinson and Duncan, and Shaq and Kobe for most rings. It's best player ever and a large part of that is performance in the championship round. Bron shot 60% at the line against the Mavs, that's not indicative of the final boss of the championship round but rather that of a scared child.

agree unless you bring up the mvp tho.

Btw, yeah i must say the level of today NBA is much better today than during Jordan era.

The celtics are very good, i remember almost all the team Jordan face in his time suck much more...

And we are talking about the eastern conference am i right ?
Since it is the final conference we suppose to think the celtics are the second best team in that conference and that team would crush during the 90 or 80...?

Why is it that a large component is the championship round? That's only done by MJ homers.

I personally don't think Russell is a top 10 player all time but by your metric he shouldn't be anything lower than 1 if the championship round plays such a big role in your evaluation. You can brush off Horry, Russell was the best player on 11 title teams.....and he even won a title at San Francisco which is incredible and an Olympic Gold.

Why are you cherry picking a random series over the course of a 10+ year career to determine the GOAT?

It's what he does. He'd even prefer to pick games where Lebron didn't play well or a series because that's what he can grasp to at this point. Remember that one time when Lebron had a rough game and was shut down by Deshawn Stevenson...

Since you are cherry picking games, can you explain this?

Game 5 between Bulls-Pistons in 1989. Series is tied 2-2. MJ plays 46 minutes and takes 8 shots. Scores 18 points but 10 of those are from the free throw line. Bulls lost by 9 and MJ averaged 35 points a game that year. Doesn't seem very GOATish to me. Bulls then lose Game 6 and are knocked out.

This year is obv a lot different.
Others have already pointed it out, but the bolded part is atrocious. Kevin Love was playing so poorly, people kept talking about how Cleveland needed to consider trading him, how he was virtually worthless against GSW as a defender.
Then Love had a very good Game 7 with an important stop near the end of the game to redeem himself. But during the series he was not good at all.

Curry, on the other hand, had a very bad series versus his expectations, but a pretty good series overall. If GSW had pulled off the win, he might have been selected the MVP (maybe Klay Thompson or LeBron). He was good enough to be the best on his team (or close enough) and played like a third team All-Pro, but our expectations were at unanimous MVP level.

BTW LeBron won in spite of Love having a concussion and playing like absolute garbage in the majority of the finals.

Draymond Green missed 1 game. Kevin Love also missed 1 game.

You're the lad who filled his boots on the Celts the past two games, right? Probably threw a sneaky few quid on Toronto and the Pacers in their game threes.

Sick life, keep saying Bron will be beat until it comes through. And there's always next year in that regard.

Of the events that led to a pathetic disgrace of an organization masquerading as "champions" with zero qualifications--99% of of it not deserved or earned...

1. Injury to the goat. Some of the stats in the western conference finals and NBA finals were incredible considering he couldn't penetrate the lane/get to the basket or run around screens like he did earlier in the season. To do that all as a slow player exclusively on the perimeter is beyond incredible. Goat stay the goat.
2. Injuries to IGGY and bogut were a tremendous loss to Wing defense and rim protection. Changes the defense completely and weakens it tremendously.
3. The most unprecedented and soft suspension in the history of the game. Especially in the context of the finals. You have to be softer than baby **** and not be a true fan of the game to even consider endorsing that. I'd never want lebron suspended because it's the easiest way to a title.
4. Ticky tack foul calls to the goat and terrible offensive foul calls that were unprecedented in nature. Game six was the biggest disgrace to the game we have ever seen with the refs. It's literally surreal. Not even debatable.
5. Harrison barnes shooting like 2-36 on wide open shots, al of which manufactured by the goat. Mainly if not all of those were threes.
6. Kerr's mismanagement of AV and Ezeli was beyond disgusting.
7. Kyries incredible heroics. I'm always fair and give credit where it's due. That shot was killer and he played well when it mattered most.
8. Bron having a good game 5 (draymond suspended) and 6 (IGGY and bogut injured) after getting face ****ed at the land and therefore crying to the commissioner to get his opponent suspended. Not gunna going to put up them hands and man up. Would rather not compete, but would prefer rather to be a pathetic beta loser *****.

Lebron is 8th on that list. All of those had to happen in a perfect storm scenario for a one shot difference and for a two outer to occur.

To say the Cavs deserved a championship is like saying a lottery winner deserves their lump sum.

The cavs have never deserved to be on the same floor as the Warriors and very likely never will. It will be great to outplay and skull **** this piece of ****, Dan Gilbert owning, irredeemable organization for the third year and a row.

Good post. The cavs needed about 7-8 different things all to go their way in order to win the last three games including Barnes going 2-14,0-8 and 3-10 shooting (combined 5-32) in the last three games almost all of the shots being completely wide open as the cavs weren't even guarding him. This year with him being replaced with KD and curry being healthy the cavs need about 12-13 things to all go completely right for them in order to have any chance, and even then I can't see them winning more than 2 games

Lead both teams in points / assists / rebounds / steals / blocks - be eight reason for winning the series.

Though at least you don't think MJ is the GOAT

The winning Cavs team in 2016 had the GOAT player, the losing team didn't.

The Warriors needed Love to completely be a non factor to win yet couldn't capitalize even when he had a concussion.

Warriors had things go their way and still lost.

Draymond should have been suspended back in OKC series. Them being the darling of the league bailed them out.

Draymond went around kicking people in the nads repeatedly and eventually got a measly one game ban. I really think there was nothing "soft" or inappropriate about it. He should have been suspended for multiple games during the OKC series, that was the shambolic aspect of the whole thing tbh.
