He should replace him right now tbh. Doesn't yet play passes like Pirlo though.

i watched McKennie closely in that last game vs Bayern...he's exactly what we need in the midfield. I wish he had more strength, size and agility; all things he can still improve on at his age. He def has a good motor, great vision and positioning...he seems like he's one of those players that just makes life easier for his teammates(ie. makes everyone around him better).

so yeah, basically the antithesis of our favorite lethargic Bald-Eagle, Michael Bradley.

Also watched the Dortmund vs Hamburg match earlier today...Pulisic was EASILY the best attacking player on the field today! What strikes me the most is that this guy(kid?) has yet to plateau; just continues to get better every week, its impressive!

He really pops off the screen for me whenever Dortmund are inside the attacking third...opposing teams clearly seeing this as well; he's starting to attract sooooo much defensive attention, both on and off the ball. teams are resorting to intentional fouling and trying to hurt/test him physically. hopefully he is as durable as he is talented, because I expect this rough defensive approach will continue, similar to how many teams try to "defend" Messi(ie. break his legs without getting a straight red).

This is do or die tonight. We've been running really good in the past 10 years with the Donovan goal vs Algeria to get us out of the group in 2010 and ran really good to get out of the group in 2014 i think the rungood is coming to an end tonight/this year but I hope I'm wrong. I really hope im wrong

Do we need a win?

Currently in 4th place a point behind Panama. Top 3 qualify directly, 4th place gets a playoff vs Asia (Syria or Australia I think). Honduras is 5th (tied with USA on points) and pretty well screwed on goal differential and playing Costa Rica and Mexico in their final two games. Costa Rica has all but locked up a spot with Mexico so 3rd and 4th is between Panama and USA.

Panama has Costa Rica at home in last game but it's a meaningless game for Costa Rica.

USA gets last place Trinidad on the road but we haven't won a road game in the Hex yet.

So yes, USA needs a win badly and it would make USA a huge favorite to finish 3rd and avoid a playoff. A draw means we likely are going to playoff vs Asia while a loss vs Panama would give Honduras hope of passing us the final match day and leaving us in lol 5th place.

On a happier note the u17 played and won their 1st group match at this years u17WC. They beat India 3-0. They played really well and have a real shot at going far in this tournament.

If for nothing else they are worth checking out to see the speed and ball skill we'll be surrounding the PuliGOAT with in 2022

We'll do better whenever Jozy is too old to run around and contribute nothing.

More then likely 2026 when they are 25/26 unless they are on the same level as Pulisic and get called in before then.

How are you watching these games by the way?
