Honduras should be going all out or the win, they're screwed with only a draw.

Yupp. Team is a joke. Didnt think id actually end up correct that they wouldn't qualify. Looking pretty astute now tho.

If our team can play their B-level game and still get a tie, it's a good sign.

we were lucky only Omar's typical bonehead moment was the only goal we conceded, zusi got smoked repeatedly for the first 60 minutes

So is arena just a ****** or is the roster really this bad, ignoring that Michael Bradley is in fact this bad.

This was the toughest game left on the schedule and it's a miracle we even got a point out of this. I'll take it.

Thought Acosta took the free kick, Besler saved it, Morris popped it up, Wood scores just like planned, lol.

It's both tbh. Arena is getting an easy ride atm. If this was happening under Klinsmann, Klinsmann would be getting crucufied. This is a weak side right now and I have a hard time seeing them getting out of the group right now if they manage to qualify.

The gap between the olds and Pulisic has about 5 useful players and no good ones. We're gonna be in rough shape for this WC. Hopefully we get a youth injection soon

You guys remember when Dr. Ikes used to brag about coming in first place of the Hexagonal? Don't worry, I won't do that since that isn't even bragworthy. What I will tell you though is that we are clearly the best team in CONCACAF. This was still true even when we almost failed to qualify to the World cup in 2014.

This Mexico is so talented. If we don't make it to that 5th game (QF), then this cycle will be a failure. Personally, I think it's semifinal or bust, but I also can't forget how bad we run at World Cups.

Hahahaha, 5th game.

I would guess >50% of the posters ITT, and a good chunk of Mexico's squad, weren't alive last time Mexico won a knockout game at the WC.

The last time Mexico won a knockout game at a WC that wasn't in Mexico? Oh wait...

But yeah, semifinals or bust lol.

If Arena was a foreign coach he'd be getting slaughtered like Klinsmann did. The sad fact is, we don't have good enough players. When your best player, by a wide margin, is an 18 year old kid then you are in trouble.

Get ready to taste the familiar taste of failure then. You're a Mexican national soccer team fan after all. It's a taste you know all too well.

I've watched Howard play just like you. He hardly ever makes the huge save the team needs him to make anymore. Recent case in point: Costa Rica's first goal. The top shelf international game is passing the old man by. If we qualify for the WC, you'll see Guzan starting two or all three of the group stage games.

I agree, Howard is done as a top level GK. But how do we not have anyone better then Guzan?
