Mexico gonna be without their A team as well. a USA B team wouldn't be drawing dead.

Wondo didn't make the GC roster

I'm seeing people freak out about no major stars on the roster and I don't get it. Arena said the Euro and big name guys were gonna get a break. I would rather get some of the new and younger players in there to see if we can find some depth.

How do we not have a better GK then Brad Guzan?

A lot of people think he isn't our best GK. I don't understand why he keeps getting on the team and keeps playing.

Well then, this should be more than a little bit interesting for a warm up to a B-team tournament. Some of these players are probably making the WC roster next year.

I posted previously how crucial I think this tournament is for Hedges. Fitting that he starts in the back with Besler today. If they can perform well against Ghana they help build my Hedges for WC campaign but admittedly he could play himself out of a roster spot today.

Joe Corona plays the 10. I have always thought he was way overmatched in international play but the 10 is probably the place he can hurt the team the least... at least.

USA/Ghana in Natal is the best sporting event I've ever attended and is a top 3 event in my life. That is not hyperbole.

espn is the nut low at actually communicating when an event is happening. it is totally infuriating. in fact, nearly everything about espn in 2017 is infuriating.

even on their website it said 4:45 ET

I'm a fan of these kits in theory. They don't strike me as particularly American as worn. I realize I'm in the minority on this one.

That Gyan strike was not "deep into extra time" ESPN. Jesus Christ they scored in the 3rd minute of extra time.

Also, that may have been the biggest gut punch in my sporting history. We really outplayed them in the 2nd half of that RO16 match and then, boom, we were down 2-1 immediately.

edit: Larry Johnson's bull**** 4 point play was definitely worse as a Pacers fan.

Hope Hedges and Acosta show well. I'm a big FC Dallas fan and they have looked really good this year. I thought Acosta played well in Mexico too.

Acosta is like 80% to make the final WC 23. Hedges not so much though I agree with you that I'd love to see him show well. He's certainly earned this shot.
