there's where not taking a 12-yard touch comes into play. if you think that situation was more dangerous after Clint's touch than before it, suppose we'll have to agree to strongly disagree

They called the action on the GK and that's not a handball either.

Meh, even if light, pushing the keeper still isn't good, and besides it hit his arm.

If your only option is to knock it on 10 yds it is. But if he takes a delicate touch there he has plenty of space to get to it. He wouldn't be able to go directly at the goal, but more towards the near side post where he still has a shooting angle.

Perfect preparation for the WC in terms if learning to deal with wrongly disallowed goals.

I don't think it's asking too much for a player at this level to settle that ball and keep it within a 5 yard radius. Sure, it's difficult, but if he keeps it close he has a 1v1 with the keeper.

And there's a guy right on his back.

You guys are severely underestimating the difficulty of the play you want him to make.

It is impeccable how easy it is to run in behind our defense. I have no idea how we keep leaving guys tons of space in the channel.

It's far more on jones than the back line right now. They're super exposed.

Our attack looks pretty good right now. I feel good about us having chances to get a goal here and there, even against good teams.

The problem is this defense. World class teams are going to eat our defense alive.

Jones is an impostor, I have no idea why Jurgen keeps playing him. Just play MB deep and put in Mix or something. Or Omar at CB and Cameron at DM is probably better against anyone decent.

I'm picturing us getting a goal on both Germany and Portugal right now. And both scoring 3-4 on us.

How about replacing Jones w/ MB and slotting Johannsson up top w/ Dempsey and JA?
