Not to mention he's clearly our #1 when it comes to set piece delivery. JA doesn't score without that beautiful delivery from Landy.

Agudelo played us back into an empty bucket for GC imo. Will be excited to see what we do Monday wrt formation.

its hard to take anything away when 1) holden being injured changed the shape and dynamic of having a 4231 and 2) this formation hasn't really been used by bradley before and the empty bucket is the familiar formation.

Given the strengths of the team, spending more time with a 4231 or 433 type formation will yield good results. Its a bit much to make a major determination off of 50 odd minutes of playing in a more defensive 433 formation that hasn't really been used before

True, any schmo that's played 2 hours of FM knows it takes time to develop a formation. GC just seems too important to use for development. We're gonna take lumps, no doubt, but I agree with you in principle.

Nashville's grass.

Chandler made this a much different 4-4-2 than it had been in years past. His speed up the flank allowed Clint to kinda fall in to the middle and remove some of the emptiness of the bucket.

well, at least with the ball at his feet. Can't recall anyone else so timid and wasteful with the ball in recent memory.

yea gooch was LOL bad with the ball tonight. And then DeMerit tried to imitate him and almost gave them a goal.

opportunity for Tim Ream imo

Michael Bradley was MOTM for us again. He consistently puts in incredible performances for us. Neither Dempsey or Donovan were at their best but they were both fine and we sort of already know what we're going to get from them.

I was very encouraged by Chandler's performance from the right. He looks like the real deal and adds a different dimension.

I was very discouraged by Jay, Gooch, and Boca. Not that this was an easy assignment or anything close but they looked poor for much of the match. I'm not sure there are other alternatives I like better (except Ream) but we have to be better in the back.

That's my boy Agudelo. Like I said, very bright future. He actually didn't have that good of a match aside from putting home the goal on a scramble, but you can still see flashes of the athleticism and strength that makes him special.

I said it even before the game... A 4-4-2 with Agudelo and Altidore up top is going to be big big problems for any opposing backline, even if it doesn't produce the most free flowing attacking stuff ever witnessed.

I have no problems with a Gold Cup empty bucket with Edu and Bradley hoding (Jones was bad last night, and those three central is repetitive), Landy and Clint creating starting from wide, and Altidore/Agudelo up top.

was reading Le Toux wiki and this was there:

Quote:
Le Toux has not been capped by France at any level. In an interview on July 2, 2008, he declared himself available and willing to play for the United States national team.[11] On August 5, 2010, it was announced that Le Toux has received a United States green card, making him a permanent resident of the country.[12]
Is he an option at some point?

Since he just got his green card in 2010, from my understanding he's still at least three years away from citizenship if not five. So it's probably not happening.
