Easy there. It's much harder to actually get to a game here. Some of the stuff that one can do to see a game in Europe you just can't do here. For example, I was in London last fall and decided I wanted to go to Old Trafford to see Sunderland-United. I got on a train, saw the match, and came back, all for a reasonable price (except for getting ass-raped on the match tickets, but whatever, my own fault as an uninformed consumer), and all in one day. And that's about as far as one is likely to have a desire to go unless you are a Portsmouth fan just dying to see the play at Boro in the fizzy pop league next year.
If I live in most parts of the USA, it's simply not practical to get to a place where there is a team if that is the sole purpose of your trip.
Additionally, we have a culture that's more oriented towards not actually going since ticket prices have gotten so high that many middle class fans simply can't go to many games. Further, in my experience NFL on TV >>> NFL in the stadium. (Yeah, tailgating, but I can grill at home just fine...)
