Twellman sort of simplifying the CF role in a 433, its not just about being Drogba.

This defending as been bad even for MLS standards.

Epic fail bu the ref not at least carding the Panama CB for bear hugging Wondo as he was running with Jones on that counter.

Nicky Rimado god mode

De La Garza and Loyd are awful out there.

Zusi scored but hasn't been that impressive either.

Bunbury's completely off.

Give me some Sapong for Bunbury, push Shea up to the 4-3-3, Feilhaber for Zusi, Pearce for Loyd.

Cameron unlucky there, Perez touch was terrible and then he flops from a body to body contact. Not a red imo.

This announcer is a moron.

Panama hasn't done much all night? Other than slicing through our D repeatedly on counter after counter????

Although apparently that contact somehow broke the Panamanian's leg, so it probably is a red. How long till he comes back on?

I don't see how a shoulder to shoulder contact that led to a broken leg makes it a red.

Or are you being sarcastic

I was just pointing out that he was clearly trying to milk a red with all the writhing despite pretty minimal contact. And sure enough, he went the rest of the way after being carried off the field. Totally standard of course, but its still the one part of soccer that never ceases to piss me off.

Here is George John's goal from the behind closed doors friendly a couple of weeks ago for anyone that is interested. Not bad for a defender. Please not the trademark dreadful West Ham corner which shouldn't really beat the first man.

I can't claim to have seen any of his play at Anderlecht other than a few highlights, but from things I've read on BigSoccer and other places, it seems he's been more than solid all year long. He's still second tier as far as midfielders go for us, but that's fine considering we are actually fairly stacked there. If our depth includes guys like Sacha, we're not doing too bad. Very possible that we could see more from him soon as mmbt said.

Charlie's on the first team for Sochaux tomorrow.

U23s going to play Mexico U23s in Dallas the same day USMNT plays Italy. Brek, Agudelo, Bunbury, Hamid, Sean Johnson, and other US-based tweeners will probably be with the U23. Jozy should be with USMNT. Will be interesting to see what happens with Timmy Chandler and Danny Williams since they're both 22 but also based in Germany and the Italy game is in Italy. Olympic qualifying starts soon after so I imagine they'll want the best team possible.

Also added a match against Brazil in DC in May.

Also it sucks that Lichaj and Sapong miss out on being U-23 eligible by a total of 50 days.

I'm disappointed Kljestan didn't get a call-up. I'm not a huge fan of his, but he's been playing well for Anderlecht in Belgium who are currently first in their league and are in the Europa League knockout stages(they play their second leg today at home against Jozy and AZ).
