just to give you guys some perspective on your victory over Spain (i know you all think it makes you world beaters, it doesn't).

Northern Ireland 3 – 2 Spain, last team to beat Spain after they scored first too.

oh and...... i probably should have pointed this out either before or during the WC when you were all crowing about how good you are

and like i was saying way earlier that the USA is 20 years behind the leading nations wrt academies, whereas the likes of England are only 10 years behind the leading nations

rant without swear words is just not possible.

just pointing out that USA team is not all that because they beat Spain one time many moons ago, and nor will they close the gap on teams like Germany, Spain or Holland as quick as some here thought they would, because the likes of England are far further along the road to catching the leading teams. (tho not as close as the English think )

that tells way more about the current state of english football than anything else.

I still don´t get how anybody could bet on them for worl champion t 10-1

If you need a result that depicts te current state of US Soccer, take Ghana - USA 2:1

Expect them to lift off over the next 2-3 player generation.

They have the manpower, all they need is the willingness to learn from euope

GTFO rational non-trolling Euro.

There are only two viewpoints allowed to be expressed here:

1) The USMNT is the greatest soccer team in history and if it wasn't for all the referees from the rest of the terrorist world hating us for our freedom we'd win every tournament.

2) The USMNT couldn't defeat the average secondary school team from Poland.

Irish announcers mentioned on the broadcast that US keeper Zac MacMath (currently in school at Maryland) is being looked at by Everton.

Also, US up 2-0 thanks to Juan Agudelo.

Someone in the gov't fast track Yura Movsisyan's citizenship and then call him in for the first match he's eligible.

So I'm trying to go to the USA vs Brazil friendly at the New Giants Stadium on tuesday.

I'm pretty sure the new stadium holds like 80,000 people so I'm wondering if you guys think I'd be able to get tickets at the box office.

Going to be going with like 12-15 people and I don't want to buy all these tickets online especially since some of my friends are always known to bail at the last minute.

Do I have to pull the trigger on getting them online for $60 at the highest seat level or do you guys think it's possible to get them at the stadium by scalping or box office?

Sick. A team basically, except with more of the younger guys who are in the mix which is great to see (While leaving out some European based veterans, like Dempsey, Gooch, Demerit etc. which is fine). Love that Bedoya got a spot...SUPER DUPER INCREDIBLY pumped about JJ getting called in.

Sad about no CD9 but can't ask for everything. Our strikers suck, but I'd rather see Jozy use the time to win playing time wherever he ends up.

I'd like to see this:

-----Buddle-----Landycakes----
Benny-------------------Alejannnnnndro
--------MB------JJ--------------
Boca----Spector--Marshall/Goodson---Dolo

The best way to do this is to go to Ticketmaster and request 6 or 8 tickets for various price levels. See how close to the field they put you. If they put you halfway up, you're golden. If they put you in the back row buy the tickets now. Either way, you'll be able to scalp tickets, probably not much above face value.

Word from Sochaux is that CD has lost his burst or whatever... he may still get it back, but it doesn't seem right to put CD in while he's still trying to get 100% fit for his club team.

Yeah I think no CD9 is probably the best decision, I just wish he was healthy enough to be called in is what I meant. Also, because of our complete lack of strikers, there's no law that states we have to play with 2 of them. What if we tried this:

--------------Buddle-------------
Landy--------Bradley--------Alejandro/Benny
--------Edu-------JJ------------

Or something like that. Benny can play where Bradley is, and Bradley can play any of the three midfield spots imo.
