We don't really care. We haven't been in World Cup since 1986. We aren't really soccer fans. I mean I'm sure some are. I just like supporting my country and this is exciting.

They just bossed us with a bunch of scrubs and Jonathan David without the best player in CONCACAF. Gregg should take notes. This is 100% on our clueless manager. People will keep defending him tho

God, Berhalter's tactics suck balls.

I'm gonna put Let's Go to the Mall on repeat for about an hour. At least some Robin Sparkles will make me smile

I mean, aside from "possession directly leads to goals" which is just bad, he's not really wrong with any of those other comments. He just forgot to mention that USMNT despite being miles more talented than Canada have a coach that is such a net negative that Canada can still boss the match.

Or it could just be that for a country that has only qualified for a World Cup once ever, and failed to even score a goal when we got there, this qualification round is a big deal.

This is what happens when you're next door to a country with 9x our population and a big focus on sports (and success to match) - beating the US is far more important to Canadians than the other way around. LOLCanada, but we'll enjoy the victory today.

This has been a pretty spectacular display of whining and rattledness prizminferno has put on this match. Well done.

Yeah I'm 100% on this train. The "act like you've been there before" arguments and their offshoots - the xg and TOP arguments - are absolutely pointless when the fanbase and team HAVEN'T been there before. Similar to Michigan beating OSU this year. When you've suffered for a LONG time you get to ride the high without anything that can bring you down and any attempt to do so is just futile.

It hasn't shown in his dozens of other lol performances outside of C-Team on C-Team ****, so why would anyone see it now? He will be at the World Cup too. That's the sad part

Canada didn't have either of its best players and the US were slight favourites, fwiw.

"How it started" should have been his comments about how USA will easily win WCQ, "How it's going" how he shifted the goalposts from Boston to Hamilton by saying "who cares about who wins the WCQ".

I'm aware (though I have Jonathan David >>> anyone else). Our midfield is still miles better than Canada. Our team sheet aside from Zardes and keeper is still miles better than Canada. USA should be winning this game more times than not (which is reflected in the odds I suppose) not getting dicked 2-0.

Not if you're literally being fouled all half and it's going uncalled by the damn ref tho!

This. It's not even controversial to say this. GGG is the problem. Canada's coach is great.
