Good lol, Pete, but USA would be so ****ing lucky to get Big Sam as their manager. Yeam, he has a biggish mouth, but it's rank stupidity that he was ousted from the England job for that. & he''s pretty clearly the best non-employed manager aorn.

Might shake them up, or might get them to rebel against him so they quit on him just like they quit on the last 2 coaches.

But I agree with you and would prefer him over another MLS guy.

Could go one step further and hire Fat Mike. He's done all he can with the Packers and understands the midwest mentality that prevails in US soccer. He could even bring the GOAT with him to play midfielder after he recovers from his injuries.

Measurement.

Do you often look down and think to yourself, ‘there’s no way that’s 3 inches’?

It’s common practice to add 2” to sports players when they are short.

And you are right, it’s not 3 inches

It may be common in the US (which I don't believe for one second), but not anywhere else.

Even if it is common practice, are you saying you thought he was 5'3?

It is common in USA#5 for athletes and celebrities to add 1-2 inches but anywhere else they add 3-5cm instead.

It actually is super common to list athletes as taller, even if they aren't short. Heck I'm 6'1 and I was listed at 6'2 in college, and this was baseball.

It's all a mental thing, trying to get in your opponents head before they even go up against you. Especially in college/high school athletics. At least in the big three sports.

By that rationale they should list Messi at 4'11.

Ok. Let me get this straight. You lie about the height of your players to get a mental advantage. Doesn’t that advantage getting completely flipped when you run onto the field of play?
If it’s such a common practice, how does anyone even fall for this clever ruse?

Sounds like bs

I think I'd rather read about LeBron GOAT GK again rather than Euros debating wether or not US athletes are listed as taller than they really are.
