You're not wrong and their quality of journalism has gone so downhill turning into a puff piece/click bait site but that's now 2 sHoW me the aRtiCLeS that were pretty critical of Gregg and USMNT world cup showing (Guardian and Athletic)

give GGG a 6 month contract through Camp Cupcake and the March NL window

let's us find better coaching options post-euro season, and he's more likely to find a new job then too

otherwise we just caretaker til then...

If you aren’t planning on moving forward with him there’s no need to do a short term contract. Just assign interim coach.

Contrary to what some of the dummies on this board may have believed, the USMNT job back in 2019 was not very appealing at all and we never had a chance to get a top flight coach

That has changed (ironically due to GB’s efforts) because we have a skilled core group that will be in its prime for a WC on home soil.

Hoping there’s a lot of back channels going on with those who may be interested

Yea I'm fine with this actually. Let GGG mind the roost until we identify a legit world class coach who will take the team into 2026. Let Gregg where cool clothes and have some role in USSF (sounds like he might prefer a Euro job tho which will be popcorn.gif) and recruit dual internationals to come play for the USA.

This literally has nothing to do with Gregg. This has to do the fact that we have a team of legitimately good players who are playing at real clubs and will be in their absolute prime 3.5 years from now. That would be the case with or without Gregg.

Tata no good that's for sure. I don't think I was one of those people. But he's still probably an upgrade over Gregg

Luis Enrique should be available soon

He's definitely a name I thought of. A wack job but definitely an upgrade

At what point do we give ScotchOnDaRocks a timeout for trolling?

The adults are having a perfectly normal, civilized discussion and this guy continues to chime in offering nothing

Saw this. Absolutely mega we are in Copa America which is in itself a mega tournament. Kind of lame it's here again, but just happy to be in it

I am fine with it here because WC is here, not like we need to plan for hostile crowds.. lol

Yea in that context it's fine. Not a big deal either way. I'd love to see us in a Copa America on South American soil one of these years too

the problem with being an invite team is clubs don't have to release players

I'm worried about a B team

Oh **** I didn't know that. Would be completely pointless if it were a B team. It's in the summer though. I can't see why a club wouldn't release a player when they're not in season

I wonder what Euro clubs would be "interested" in GGG? Maybe he's gonna replace Klopp next month.

Also, just saw we have friendlies next month. Why?

the last Copa America tourney here was awesome. Glad it's coming back.

there's a ton of leagues out there. He likes football a lot, I could see him wanting the day to day training

we have Camp Cupcake every year Dec/Jan where it's only MLS players/new guys get acclimated. last year we played Bosnia, nobody ever gives a **** about these. however integrating some new kids in and getting a look for Brandon Vazquez this time would be nice.

next gen coming up, hopefully, for supreme depth lol

who are some of the kids on the horizon? out with the old, in with the new. I'm so tired of Messi, Ronaldo

Right, looks like the Berhalter bashing has warped their brains so much that they don’t realize that there are undoubtedly many jobs that he could take over there.

As if everything Europe is just better than MLS and USA. I remember the calls for Julian Green to save the team, “He plays in Bundesliga2!”

well, he was the only bright spot coming out of WC 2014. Not the case at all this year (thankfully)

Yeah but he is a winger? Attack mid? Whose place was he going to take and make a major difference?

People were acting like he was being snubbed. And that was something I only heard here from anti MLS crowd.
