Well the writer who broke the story (name eludes me) described Urb's response to the allegations at media days as "On a scale of 1-10, where 10 is a fireable offense, a 73." and it was something like, "That? Oh we looked into that--nothing happened. I don't know who makes up crap like that. I ain't never heard about anything else ever happening." and the ex-wife, the battered one, then met with that reporter and told him about how Urb was full of **** and showed him the texts between various football wives including Urb's wife.
Then the dude got arrested for trespassing at her place and fired. To most of us, it sounds like the arrest could have happened a few dozen times previously--probably this time only because it had been in the news.
At that time the argument was an obviously disingenuous "There's no proof Urb knew (that's been made public yet). He can't report it if he didn't know about it!" Then Urb's lawyers released his statement where he slightly changed his story to "I knew about it AND reported it. I just lied about it at media days."
It is too late, though, because now we want BLOOD!!!
There's also the ex-wife's story about Urb having his life coach ask her to drop the charges years ago and one of the football wives saying, "Urb doesn't know whether to believe his buddy's word or your pictures of bruises." Overall not a good look--including his media days' statement essentially being a variation of, "That's just a crazy ex-wife." and the fact he was obviously expecting the whole thing to blow over.
Meh, **** him.
