He apparently has been taking over drills from position coaches because he doesn’t like the way things are being run. (Who hired those coaches Urbz?) He's one of the GOAT college coaches, I might compare him to Pitino with all the moving around and great success everywhere and all the Big Little General crap ... as we know it usually doesn't work on this level. Jeez Saban couldn't even do it. But too early to tell. It's like the guy lives and dies with every play, like he expects every play to be a highlight reel for his team.

I agree that Lombardi is super admirable in many ways, but when it comes down to living with him it can be a totally different story. His son said he was totally absent as if all his football players, past and present, were more like sons to him that his actual son. Great achieving so often goes hand in hand with megalomania.
