Don't know where you guys stand in this, but I think we would be better off with Ospina in goal in the semi-finals. He is a lot quicker off his line and capable of great performances. Not sure if I can list many positives on Cech's side going by his recent performances

Gonna have to beat them at some point to win most likely.

True, but they are the better team and maximizing variance was our best bet...well that didnt work out.

At the same time you got to consider your players cajones. As we know from Troy Deeney they lack them so it might be better to go for the two legged affair and hope for an easier final. WIL has to be factored in.

The Deeney Theorem doesn't take the finals in recent years into account, namely we have won 3 out of 4 cup finals in the last 4 years.

Our WIL is much more present over two or more legged ties. Thus my original plan of dodging Atletico until the very last minute was the correct play.

Now we have to make sure that Danny Welbeck puts them in their place

Atletico's record in finals isn't exactly stellar recently. Might be cojones related, especially given that their best player is french

Completely agree. Current Cech is honestly about Almunia level, which hurts to say because he’s such a likeable guy otherwise.

Tbf to almunia he was capable of big performance, and he Could save penalties. Current Cech is more like Rami Shabaan

1st leg is at home. Much rather we started away tbh. Hope we take a 2 goal advantage to the Metropolitano (weird writing this instead of Calderon)

Mkhitaryan is running again. He has to progress in the next three or four days to see how much intensity he can have in his training sessions.

Possibly Thursday is the earliest I think.
good news

Yesss.....fingers crossed.

Needed some good news, as I just saw that Atletico are 10-0 in their last 10 home games with 23 goals scored and zero conceded.

Özil set to be back, Wilshere further away than expected and Miki/Elneny possibly out for the rest of it, with Miki having a slight chance of featuring in the final (that statement could be true regardless of his injury.zing)

This could me I get my wish and we start 5 at the back with Koscielny-Chambo-Mustafi. Niles would be a bit overambitious I think

On the other side Juanfran and most likely Diego Costa will miss the game tomorrow.

Welbeck brace is free money whoever the next Atletico Madrid right-back is*

How confident are you lot ahead of tonight’s match?

Got a feeling Atletico are going to walk away with a 0-1.

On our best day we can beat them 3-0, on our worst just lose by 2 and show a soulless performance. Hope players will be pumped since they want to give Wenger a proper sendoff, we'll see

Think our worst day is worse than that..

Think we'll turn up though, feeling a 2-0 with ozil running the show after his little holiday
