I homer'd into this match - so for one, I was under the impression that Arsenal still need a result somehow and OTOH it was only later last night that I bothered to check their line-ups of those legendary Thursday nights this season.

Anyway it was ****in nuts at the stadium last night, incredible atmosphere.

Impressive depth by the gunners squad IYAM. They were on a different level to FC (lol) which is probably still fair looking at the wages and stuff they had on the pitch

Yah, I was just looking at that. France finished basically level with them on points last year, and are already 2 points ahead this season with 4 teams still alive compared to 3 for Germany. Huge opportunity for France to gain a lot of ground and possibly challenge for the 4th spot in 2-3 years.

True, 1st is the same as 4th, but France could close the gap and make things interesting for 4th in a few years, especially if PSG can string together a few years going deep. (a big if, admittedly)

Not really worried about that, I don't think PSG will do much better than Bayern and the rest should very much favour the Bundesliga over Ligue 1. It won't be every year that a couple of relegation fodder teams make Europe, Leipzig won't forever be in pot 4 etc.
