We were really lucky to not be at least 2-0 down at halftime. The 1st half City played was extraordinary.

The problem for your lot was that City was always going to be vulnerable to our counter attacks and once we made it 1-1 the tie was over.

last time roma made it to semis was in 1984. they also made it to the final that year. which they eventually lost on penalties. to pool.

this is largely on valverde imo. just start the b-string, play a defensive boring match ala jjuve away game in gs. 0-0, 1-0. whatever. pack your bags. fly home. onto semis.
