What team is good at parking the bus at european level anyway? They are all teams that had to win most of their games to be here.

Although I agree that a Juventus/Atlético would be teams that in theory should be more difficult for us than Barcelona for instance. I would still prefer Atlético if I had to choose though.

Since PLOP won home and away that makes it 2-0 to TBLITW vs BundesLOLA by Sugardonk calculations and 1-0 by mine. The differences being he counts both matches in a knockout tie individually whereas I only count the winner, I.E If Madrid do Bayern 4-0 again and then lose 1-0 in the return leg he calls it 1/1 which is obviously ******ed but shouldn't surprise anyone.

Sugardonk Table:

Hoffenheim 1 PLOP 2
PLOP 4 Hoffenheim 2

BLITW 2 BundesLOLA 0

Bandit Table:

Hoffenheim 1 PLOP 2
PLOP 4 Hoffenheim 2

BLITW 1 BundesLOLA 0

Do we fancy the english teams for this year edition? This is the strongest english lineup since the Fergie era. All teams have the same manager and should be stronger than last year and there is 5 of them. On sheer variance alone one of them should make it to the last 4.

Leipzig should just peace out and focus on Bundesliga . I don't think they have the depth to fight a war on two fronts

For me no.

Madrid and Bayern still miles ahead.

Atletico, PSG, Barca and Juve arguably equal or better and will be way fresher at the knock out stage with being able to stroll through league games, rest key players etc

City have the best chance but you never know if Pep will continue to just go for it rather than some game management and just see a game out when you have a lead.

Not sure. Probably the last year they have Keita and Forsberg, possibly Werner too. Drawing some teams that will come at them and attack, they could have a chance

FIFA 2004 used to have pools of almost entirely the one nation in them for the "European Cup" so sure, why not...
